Who are Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades? They are the Greek Gods who ruled the sky and thunder, the sea, and the underworld. The one that amazed me was Zeus’s strength and leadership. Among gods and goddesses that belong in the mount Olympus, Zeus was the highest god, for he is the god of all gods and mortals. In Romans he is called Jupiter, in Hindu he is called Indra and in Etruscan he is Tinia. Betray him once and you will taste his wrath!

Zeus was the youngest of the six children of Cronus and Rhea. His brothers and sisters were Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon. Cronus swallowed these five siblings of Zeus. Cronus swallowed them because the oracle said that he was to overcome by his own son until Rhea heard about this. Rhea then find a way to give birth to his son Zeus, so he went to island of Crete and as a replacement for the baby, Rhea gave his husband a rock wrapped in swaddling clothes which then ate by Cronus.

When Zeus was fully grown, he then defeated his father and locked him up on the Tartarus with the rest of the Titans. However, before he does that, he opened Cronus’s stomach and released his siblings. Zeus now designs his two brothers to have a reign and the rest of his sisters were to be with him in Olympus forming the 12 gods. The rest was the son and daughters of Zeus. Hades was not belonging to the group for he must stay in the underworld. That is why he was so angry and bitter to Zeus. The three brothers obtained their weapons, Zeus has the thunderbolt and lightning, Poseidon has the trident, and Hades has the mystical Helm of Darkness.

Zeus has many wives, but Hera was the superior wife. Each wife of Zeus was been either killed or punished because of Hera’s jealousy. Zeus does not know anything about it so Zeus continues to wander around while Hera was continuously killing each one of them. In addition, because of this problems, gods and even demigods were scattered any place in this world.
