The UP Circle of Entrepreneurs is proud to present LIQUE, the third and final installment of LIQUE MNL, happening this April 8, 2017 at Cities Events Place, Quezon City.

Each tagged guest is only allowed five more tags, each of whom can tag five more, and so on, ensuring the familiar and comfortable atmosphere that has been LIQUE’s branding for going on three years.

Dance away to a night full of fun, friends, and free-flowing drinks. Lose yourself to electric beats and intoxicating tunes whipped up by DJ Cathy Frey, DJ Eugene Yaptangco, DJ Heri Patinio and DJ Sparce.

As they say, third time’s the charm.

Pregnant Women Hold "Buntis Congress", Call for Passage of Expanded Maternity Leave Law

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In a bid to sustain the momentum for the passage of a law that will double the number of paid maternity leave days of women, more than a hundred expectant mothers in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City held a "Buntis Congress" on Monday to call on the government to implement a modern and progressive maternity leave policy.

The pregnant women, led by Akbayan Senator Risa Hontiveros, Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, Rep. Sol Aragones, Vice Chair of House of Representatives Committee on Women and Gender Equality and Akbayan Partylist Rep. Tom Villarin, urged the Duterte administration to grant all female workers, regardless of civil status or legitimacy of her child, 120 days maternity leave with pay and an option to extend it for another 30 days without pay. They also wanted 30 days to be allotted to their husbands and/or alternate caregivers.

"Long overdue"

Hontiveros, who is also the Chair of the Senate Committee on Women, said that an enhanced maternity leave policy at par with international standards and which can truly address the physical, mental and economic burden of pregnancy is long overdue. "We need a new maternity leave policy that will provide adequate paid maternity leave days for working mothers to fully recover from childbirth, properly care for their child and establish a stronger mother-child bond through breastfeeding," she said.

Third Eye Wellness Center Offers ThetaHealing, Tarot Card Reading and Other Life Enhancing Services

Wazzup Pilipinas!

“Change your beliefs and release the negative emotions, and the physical condition will clear.” This is the core premise of ThetaHealing, one of the services offered by The Third Eye Wellness Center, a mind-body-energy center that focuses on the journey going inward to reflect it outward. Aside from it, they also have Tarot card reading, nail and foot spa. and massage.

They also offer healthy meal choices at their Chakra Cafe - which serves healthy, organic and delicious food. It is a perfect way to start or end your session at the Third Eye Wellness Center. But cleansing and detoxifying our bodies with their organic juices is only the start of what the center offers for their customers.

I must admit I have doubts about what the Third Eye Wellness Center mainly offers as I was brought up to believe in only what Science can prove and explain. It's a bit hard to trust something that could very well be just relying on body movements and other physical gestures seen from the eyes, and other body parts, in order to touch the emotions of their customers.

I have to say that Science and Technology subjects were among my favorites being an Engineering graduate and having years of exposure in Information Technology as a career, it's quite hard for me to believe on something with the presence of a belief of a soul or reincarnation.

For me, life is nothing mysterious as it can be very well explained by Science already. There is nothing magical or supernatural, thus I also believe religion is also nothing more but a belief by ancestors who had less learning about the realities of life back during those days when men can be easily enchanted by things they could not explain.

But they say the ThetaHealing technique is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy - not specific to one religion but accepting them all - with the purpose of getting closer to the Creator. It is a training method for your mind, body and spirit that allows you to clear limiting beliefs and live life with positive thoughts, developing virtues in all that we do. Through meditation and prayer, the ThetaHealing Technique creates a positive lifestyle.

Chef Laudico's Feast Holds Grand Opening Celebrations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

After several months of operation, Chef Laudico's Feast located at Clark, Pampanga finally held its grand opening ceremonies to formally open the newest restaurant led y celebrity chef couple Roland and Jacqueline Laudico.

This is considered a big leap for the husband and wife team since their other restaurants are all located in Metro Manila, and quite a travel for their fans who want to try out their latest offering. But since traffic is not as congested going to Clark compared to what we experience in Metro Manila, the time it takes for us to travel the long distance is almost the same as our travel time from our home to their restaurants here. Also, the distance is all worth it since Che Laudico's Feast offers more than Filipino cuisine.

The newest restaurant offers Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and other cuisines that will make you believe you got your money's worth. For only around Php500 during weekdays, the treat is well beyond satisfying and filling. From starters to dessert, you'll never go wrong visiting this restaurant even if you have to go there all the way from Manila.

Many would also consider passing by their place as a stop-over while they are on their way to other destinations up North. I'm definitely sure it would be a fulfilling lunch or dinner treat as they would surely have dishes you will love. There's something for everybody since now they serve international cuisines on a buffet spread that is more than enough to please even the most critical of diners.

If you're lucky, you could even get a glimpse of the celebrity couple for some photo ops or selfies with them. They often visit the site to keep the quality intact so everyone would be assured of what the brand offers - the Laudico's promise of never using instant or artificial ingredients like seasonings and flavorings filled with MSGs and harmful additives that would cause more threat on our health in exchange of a tasty meal.

I won't be posting anymore the dishes at the buffet since you could just refer to our previous post during the soft opening here at http://www.wazzuppilipinas.com/2016/11/chef-laudicos-feast-is-now-open-at-sm.html

Crystal Jade Dining In Offers a Dazzling Feast Amidst a Shanghai Vibe

Wazzup Pilipinas!

When Crystal Jade Dining In at Bonifacio Global City offered a Shanghai Night themed dinner only for the night of March 17, 2017, I made sure I would be there so I could experience what they mentioned as a scrumptious feast of authentic Shanghai-inspired menu.

The big bonus that made me crave for the dining opportunity is the live performance of the Kim Hwa Chinese Music Ensemble, which is something you don't normally see, and hear, while you're enjoying dinner time.

When most restaurants would just play soothing background music, Crystal Jade Dining In hired the Kim Hwa Chinese music ensemble to serenade the diners. We were also surprised to hear them playing the song "Reflection" made popular by the Disney animated movie "Mulan."

The dishes included in the package are Xiao Long Bao, Deep-fried Crispy Beef with Sesame, West Lake Minced Beef Thick Soup, Deep-fried Shrimp with Garlic, Deep-fried Fresh Garoupa in Sweet & Sour Sauce, Braised Minced Pork & Mushroom with Cabbage, Fried Mixed Rice in Hot Stone Pot, and Chilled Avocado Pudding. You have to admit they are incredibly sumptuous for a hefty dinner.

There's quite a number of fried dishes in the list which is something my family adores especially my wife who loves fried dishes. They are also heavy meals starting from the thick soup and all the way to the pudding. Plus it can be considered a complete meal since there's beef, pork, seafood, and vegetables.

The specially priced Shanghai Night Set Menu is good for 4 persons so invite the whole family and friends over for a dazzling feast amidst that Shanghai vibe! Php4,800 for 8 dishes is surely cost-worthy!

Rotortrade Services Signs Partnership with Philjets Group and Starline Global Industries

Further cementing its position to become the international leader for the growing pre-owned helicopter market, Rotortrade Services, the independent multibrand helicopter brokerage service company and exclusive global distributor of Leonardo’s pre-owned helicopters, enters into a strategic partnership with the PhilJets Group and its major shareholder Starline Global Industries to access the Philippine and Cambodian markets.

Established in 2013 in Singapore by Philippe and Raymond Lubrano, Rotortrade Services continues its development plan to explore professional partnerships with outstanding international aviation companies in line with its global vision. PhilJets Group and Starline Global Industries have a proven track record of offering the best value in regards to the helicopter needs of their respective markets in Cambodia and the Philippines. Partnerships such as this aim to create win-win solutions for all companies involved that will ultimately enhance total customer satisfaction.

“Rotortrade is thrilled to cement and extend a long-lasting relationship with Starline and PhilJets. Both companies share the same values and drive to elevate the (pre-owned

helicopter) market by providing uncompromising quality and service to its customers by offering the right aircraft,” says Lubrano.

Founded in Manila by Chairman & CEO Thierry Tea, PhilJets Group is a leading boutique aviation company that services the Asia Pacific region, specifically the Philippines. By fourth quarter of 2017, PhilJets Helicopters Division will be accounting nine Helicopters including eight Airbus Helicopters, making it the largest Airbus Helicopter operator in the country.

Consolidating purchases for PhilJets Group is its major shareholder Starline Global Industries, the group’s holding company based in Singapore and founded by Tea in late 2012. Starline Global Industries has purchased, leased, sold and financed more than 12 helicopters in the past 18 months for the Southeast Asian region.

Tea, of Cambodian-French descent, has been developing both Starline and PhilJets’ activities in Cambodia since 2014, resulting in the group’s first three transactions in the promising emerging Cambodian market.

Together, the Starline teams’ track record comprises over USD11 billion in aircraft sales, including over USD290 million for 68 helicopters sales.

“Thanks to this partnership with Rotortrade Services and all of its network partners, we will be able to have more exchanges and to learn from other partners worldwide. We are delighted to be joining such formidable group of experts on a global stage,” says Tea.

This network agreement will allow Rotortrade Services to offer the Philippine and Cambodian markets a wider selection of pre-owned helicopters while PhilJets Aero Services Inc., the PhilJets Group’s MRO and aerospace trading arm, will have access to a larger potential worldwide customer base of helicopters and a stronger back office support. Geoffroy Cahen, Head of Sales & Marketing added, “Our success with the Airbus range has been great, though various opportunities with Bell, Leonardo and Robinsons were available that we were not able to fulfill. We believe this strategic alliance will allow our customers’ needs to be better addressed.”

Philjets Group Adds Brand New H145 to its Fleet

Wazzup Pilipinas!

PhilJets Group, a leading boutique aviation company that services the Asia Pacific region— specifically the Philippines—charges forward in its thrust to become the top leader in business aviation by introducing a new helicopter manufacturer to its fleet for 2017.

Though PhilJets has sustained constant dynamic growth these past three years, it strives to strengthen its position in business aviation. To complement its existing fleet of single engine helicopters: five Airbus H130 and one Airbus AS350B2 squirrel, PhilJets is delighted to welcome one Airbus H145 T2, its first twin-engine helicopter that will provide its customers with a bigger payload and capability. Moreover, as it can comfortably seat two pilots and eight passengers for long flights, it is very much adapted to the landscape of the 7,107 Philippine islands.

The latest member of the Airbus 4-ton-class twin-engine rotorcraft product range, Airbus H145 T2 is compact in size, boasts a small footprint and yet offers a cabin that can comfortably fit two pilots and eight passengers. The H145 T2 is the perfect aircraft to take passengers on longer rotary flights around the Philippine archipelago and features large windows with excellent visibility that both pilots and passengers will appreciate. As the quietest helicopter in its class, the H145 T2 can efficiently land in busy work sites, office zones and urban areas.

As PhilJets’ first twin-engine helicopter, the company will soon be able to strengthen additional segments such as Medevac and cargo. The delivery of the brand new H145 T2 is scheduled in fourth quarter 2017 and it will give PhilJets a total of eight Airbus Helicopters—the group has two H130T2 on order scheduled for delivery in second and third quarter– making it one of the largest Airbus Helicopters operators in the Philippines in 2017.
