Wazzup Pilipinas at Radyo Uno: Hosting Every Sunday for the Family Business Radio Show

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Your friendly neighborhood Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas, Ross Del Rosario, has recently accepted accepted the offer to co-host at Radyo Uno's Family Business radio show which airs every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.

They've been wanting me to join them since I first guested with them last December 21, 2014 but I was unfortunately too busy to accept during those times when events and writing obligations were too frequent that even my weekends were blocked.

I am still busy, but I will try my best to host whenever I'm free. Though I'm more focused on online media since I am the type of person who works best at the background, I am open to collaboration even if it means I have to be under the spotlight.

Radio and TV hosting opportunities will be challenging because unlike blogging, I will now be dealing with concerns such as impromptu dialogues (as we won't be always depending on a readily available scripts) and outfit considerations (what to wear at every broadcast since we are on live streaming and it will look awkward wearing the same clothes every airtime).

Our guest last Sunday, February 8, was e-games mobile provider Mirai D3sign Digital Solutions. Both the CEO and Business Development Officer of the company discussed about their very first mobile game app called "Fiesta7" which they are promoting as a leisure game downloadable for free as an Android mobile app via Google Play Store. The game involves just picking 7 numbers and trying your luck to win via randomly drawn numbers for the day.

Other benefits include trainings and coaching, access to the networks of partners of the ADB and AsianNGO, and exposure in international expos and events.

If you think this is something you or anyone in your network would find this a worthwhile undertaking, please share this information (including the attached poster herein) or nominate an organisation - providing us with their details (name of organisation, contact person, contact information).

For your reference, more details are available online at www.youth4.asia. We hope you can share the attached PNG file on your social media channels.

Again, hope you could spread the word to your network in the region. Application closes on the15th of February.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Blogcaster at Radyo Inquirer

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I've been calling myself as a "blogcaster" for quite a long time already since I joined the broadcasting community on radio as a co-host at the Vigattin radio show of Radyo Inquirer DZIQ 990 AM airing every Saturday from 10 to 11 am.

I genuinely coined the word from the words "blogger" and "broadcaster" to come up with the perfect designation since I've gone beyond blogging already and penetrated the broadcasting world. I would also like to mention the other radio and TV guesting opportunities, plus the upcoming TV segments for existing TV shows at UNTV, and another TV network soon, if ever it gets approval.

I owe the opportunity to be part of radio hosting out from the invitation of Mr. Vigattin himself, Elison Barcelo, to become part of Radyo Inquirer as his guest co-host. I will forever cherish this experience as part of my ever growing portfolio.

Last Saturday, February 7, after several weeks of absence from the radio show due to weekend-scheduled events, I finally had a free Saturday to drop by and join them once again to interview some guests namely the students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Junior Marketing Executives group who is currently running a beauty pageant competition among the students of PUP. They brought along 5 out of the 18 pre-selected candidates who are already scheduled to compete in the grand coronation night to determine who will be Mr. and Ms Marketing World for 2015.

This was followed by an interview with our other esteemed guests namely were Israel Brizuela of Pay8Bilis.com and Emil Tapnia of PhilDev.

It usually takes a lot of #Diskarte in order to have a good chance of surviving in this challenging world.

Mabuhay Germany 2015 Previews Concessionaires at Food Tasting Media Event

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The German appreciation for healthy, well-prepared foods served with care is well known worldwide. My first time to visit a German restaurant was not a disappointment. I loved the traditional German dishes such as Sauerbraten, Bratkartoffeln, sauerkraut, quark and even the usual potato salad done really right. These dishes are also best washed down with a frosty mug of beer.

This is probably why instead of just a traditional press conference, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (GPCCI), together with its partners that organizes the Mabuhay Germany 2015 event, held a food-tasting media event featuring some German food concessionaires around Metro Manila.

Members of the media, including online media or bloggers, had an opportunity to preview what to expect at the upcoming event. Last year's Mabuhay Germany event was participated by around 50 companies and almost 30 of them were exhibitors offering lots of world-renowned and favorite German food like sausages, schnitzel, doner, sauerkraut and of course, beer.

Mabuhay Germany 2015, just like its previous run last year, will again be held at the Bonifacio Global City on February 21 and 22, 2015. There will be lots of activities like a corporate bingo, an al-fresco event featuring 1980s and 1990s music and, to emphasize, definitely lots of beer.

Philippine Women's University/JASMS Takeover: Is There An Attempt to Influence Public Opinion?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

You may have been following the PWU / JASMS vs. STI issue, which has seen coverage both in the newspapers and in some blogs. One thing that I've noticed is that another website has actually posted excepts of the minutes of more than one board meeting of Unlad (the Benitez family real estate company that holds the land on which PWU and JASMS are situated). If we assume for a moment that nobody in the Benitez family would leak a copy of the minutes to a website that was writing hit pieces on them, who does that leave?

It leaves the non-Benitez appointed directors of Unlad, who are all appointed by Eusebio Tanco (including the Corporate Secretary who drafted the minutes) and no one else. Taking into account the timing of the leak (during a business negotiation between Tanco and the Benitez family) and the contents (excerpts attempting to paint the Benitez family in a negative light) it is easy to see that this move is simply an attempt to influence public opinion against the Benitez family, and rush a decision under pressure.

Take that into consideration when weighing the evidence and coming to your own conclusions.

Feng Shui Paint: Attract Prosperity, Health and Harmony This 2015

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Chinese New Year is coming and people look forward to a fresh new beginning. Everyone’s optimistic about the year ahead and can’t wait to start the year with positive changes like New Year’s resolutions, bucketlists, and even home renovations. In the Philippines, home design and renovations are now done by an increasing number of Filipinos that adapt a Chinese tradition of attracting positivity through the arrangement of one’s home – Feng Shui.

As Angi Ma Wong defines it in ‘Feng Shui Dos & TABOOs,’ literally translated as “wind-water,” Feng Shui is the art of placement and is one of the five components of a person’s destiny. Part of this practice is the proper choice of colors to surround you, to effectively enhance the flow of positive energy in both home and business environment.

This concept inspired the birth of FENG SHUI PAINT. Designed as an indoor wall paint, Feng Shui Paint is made up of colors carefully chosen to suit a person’s lucky color based on their Chinese zodiac sign.

Prescribed by the well-known Feng Shui expert Mr. Johnson Chua, Feng Shui Paint is made to help attract three general life aspects: prosperity, health, and harmony.
