Maharlika Summit 2014: The Re-visioning of Maharlika

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Change is progressive. We cannot deny the fact that today, our nation needs total change and transformation. There is crisis in every aspect of life. Most of our countrymen have been deprived of their basic necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. How much more on the human rights, employment, social standing, economics, education, etc. to name a few. To one long forgotten aspect is the enrichment of our culture heritage and the right access to the origin of our country's name.

If we get back to our roots, there is a connecting link from the past that must be patched up to resolve the mystery that has remained—a question of our own identity.

Maharlika Summit 2014 is a Conference-Festival Summit on ‘Maharlika’ to gather together
diverse “Maharlika”-based groups in the country and abroad. It is the Re-visioning of ‘Maharlika’ as Cultural  Metaphor, Folk History & Social Movement for National Identity, Transformation, and Development.

This whole day event will be on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the GT-Toyota Building, Asian Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Q.C.

Free Grammar and Writing Course for Bloggers

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"But grammar is relevant for all companies. Yes, language is constantly changing, but that doesn’t make grammar unimportant. Good grammar is credibility, especially on the internet. In blog posts, on Facebook statuses, in e-mails, and on company websites, your words are all you have. They are a projection of you in your physical absence. And, for better or worse, people judge you if you can’t tell the difference between their, there, and they’re." -Kyle Weins

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Tripid is a better way to get around. It is a web and mobile service that connects drivers and passengers going the same way. It aims to provide everyone with a means to find better ways to get around the Metro Manila by establishing a simple and collaborative dynamic carpooling system.

The ultimate goal of Tripid is transportation efficiency around the city – minimizing carbon footprint, reducing traffic, and giving everyone access to proper transportation.

Do you want to meet your fellow drivers and passengers? Join the Tripid community meetup! They will talk about ride-sharing and how we can help to make Manila safer, cleaner, and more connected.

Do you want to be a verified Tripid driver and get more passengers to share a ride with you? They’ll take a professional photo of you and your car so the passengers can easily recognize you. Don’t forget to bring your driver's license for verification. Parking is available at the venue.

They will also be launching new features on the app. They appreciate your feedback— it will help them to improve their system and make a difference!
