Watch out!~

Haters Are Fans in Denial : The Real Threats to the Community

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Detractors from the same community where you belong, or the so called "peer haters", are actually fans in denial. They do not want to admit they are threatened so they unleash a wave of indirect bashing to retaliate especially when an opportunity to strike is open.

They will attack you via blind items which will attract a curious mob to join the hate bandwagon. They will keep out the details that will incriminate themselves in order to continue deceiving people caught in a frenzy of mob mentality provoked and brainwashed.

It is very easy to jump in and join an angry mob. But like many uprisings, many were actually there just as "uzis"- the "usisero" and "usisera" who let their emotions emerge on top of their sanity.

Gamitin naman ang utak paminsan-minsan pag may time. Galaw-galaw at baka ma-stroke and declared brain-dead.

Top Ten Anime Characters of All Time

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Anime is fun to watch. It originated in Japan and it spread throughout Asia and other western countries.

According to Wikipedia, "
Animes are Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn or computer animation.

The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation, but in English, the term is defined as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastic themes.

Arguably, the stylization approach to the meaning may open up the possibility of anime produced in countries other than Japan. For simplicity, many Westerners strictly view anime as an animation product from Japan."

Here in the Philippines, most Filipino children love watching Anime. In this article, you will find out the Top 10 Anime characters of all time.

Three of us participated in the "infotainment" event as the event had two parts: two speakers shared their knowledge about their expertise regarding FX Trading, and the other part was the actual HTH demo competition.

It was surprising on my part to be included in the top ten during the early minutes of the event because I was actually being very extra cautious of what I was suppose to risk.

Maylippines : Malaysia and the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Student Exchange Program on Japanese Language Education happened last November 12-15 2013.

On November 12, Tuesday, this is the day that we're waiting for.The day that we're going to meet the Malaysian students. We didn't mind the language difference, we interacted using Nihongo and English languages.
At first we had visitor session with them and were able to know some information about some of the Malaysian student. Then we had cultural exchange program, where we both show our culture.

And here's some of the photos taken during our cultural exchange program.

Karaoke: Filipino or Japanese?

source
Wazzup Pilipinas!

Filipinos are very fond of using the karaoke machine, it is a source of entertainment for them. They usually go to KTV bars and sing their hearts out, even if they're out of tune. Personally, I am not a fan of karaoke, yes I find it funny and entertaining when people who are always out of tune sing, but sometimes it gets annoying when they get too noisy.

Karaoke is used worldwide, but is most prevalent in Asia. Karaoke has come along way, starting from the early stages of the karaoke machine which were large machines, up to modern times where they are made in different devices like VCDs, mobile phones, automobiles and computers. There are even video games made for karaoke.

The first karaoke video game ever, was developed by TOSE and was called Karaoke Studio, which can only be played on the Nintendo FamiCom

Anyway. Let's go to our main topic, Who invented "karaoke"?

When you ask people this, some would say the Filipinos did, and others would say the Japanese. Well let's find out.

The Art of Paper Folding: Origami

Credits to Carolina Aguilera

Wazzup Pilipinas!
The ancient art of origami (from ori meaning "folding”, and gami meaning "paper") is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside of Japan in the mid-1900s. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.

Thankfully no paper cuts today, as I was making origami with my siblings. I was pretty chuffed to have taught myself how to make a crane (embarrassingly, It took me 10 minutes or so), a whale and even some cute wee pandas, and I’m still in awe of all the crazy things that people have made online using the origami technique! All I can say is they must have tiny fingers and a lot of time and patience!

Top 5: My Favorite Japanese Food of All times!

The number one on my list is the gyudon, or beef bowl. I like it because it has all what is needed for a meal. It contains thin strips of beef, gohan or rice, and onions poured with a special sauce. The ingredients are easy to find and it’s easy to cook and serve.

My second dish is sushi. I think almost all people like the way sushi tastes. My parents always make sushi, even without occasion. They first lay the nori flat, put some gohan, crabsticks, sometimes, mango or cucumber and my dad does his “super roll” and makes the sushi perfectly round. And is served with soy sauce, or kikoman.

Third is the shrimp tempura, this dish is kind of common to people since it is served at any Japanese Restaurant. It is now even sold at carts. Talk about tempura on the go. But the tempura that I really like is the one made by my aunt. She carefully picks out the freshly delivered shrimp from the market, make the batter herself, and fry. It’s crunchy on the outside but the shrimp is tender on the inside.

My fourth favourite is the mochi. A rice cake filled with grinded red beans inside. The modern mocha doesn’t just have red beans inside, now it’s filled with ice cream and cookie, or plain chocolate. We can try different mochis anywhere since many malls have shops where mocha can be tasted plus it’s cheap!

Last but not the least is the pork tonkatsu. Tonkatsu is a deep fried pork cutlets. There is something about tonkatsu that I really like. It’s the tenderness of the pork. It is fried but there’s not much oil that is left on the beef and it has an outer crunchy coating that is just light and has a good but into it.

That’s my top five favourite Japanese dishes! What’s yours?
