Singapore Airlines Offers Reduced Fares to Several Destinations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

There are a lot of promo fares around but usually they come with economy seats that makes your flight a stressful rather than a relaxing activity. Who wants to take a flight off to a dream vacation in a heavenly place but with a hellish airline service?

I usually hate the food, or the lack of it, when I travel off to a destination in an economy flight. But you really get what you pay for even when they're not really a promo or discounted fare. I prefer to pay more but will surely get a more restful flight back and forth to any point available.

When you travel on Singapore Airlines, you'll enjoy the award winning service that even other airlines talk about. Regardless of whether you are travelling in Suites, First, Business or Economy Class, the Singapore Airlines cabin products are designed to offer travellers more comfort and personal space.

The Philippine market is one of the biggest growing market in terms of leisure and tourist. This is the right opportunity to offer something exceptionally good to the Filipino market.

Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup Day Philippines at 7-11

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Nov 7, 2013 is the 7-11 Slurpee BYO Cup Day where everyone in the Philippines can bring their own cup, whether outrageous, weird, zany, or simply out-of-this-world, to any 7-11 branch nationwide and drink up on your favorite Slurpee!

A little history of the Bring Your Own BYO Cup Day - it all started in 7-Eleven Australia that sent people rushing to the stores with their teapots, pots, canisters and even wheelbarrow!

And now it is happening in the Philippines - for one day only.

I attended the launch of the BYO Cup Day held at the URBN Bar and Kitchen in Bonifacio Global City. There were a few attendees who brought their own interesting cup, just like me, who had to rush to a nearby store to buy measuring cups...hehehe. But I don't think that was interesting enough for the people who judged the winner because they awarded the recognition for the best cup to a beach bucket! Hahaha

The BYO Cup Day in Manila is in partnership with Coca Cola and Slurpee!

Where to Find Mr. Perfect

(credits to the owner)

Once upon a time, a perfect man and a woman met.

After the courtship, they had a perfect wedding. Their life together was, of course, happy.

One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this couple was driving their
car along a road, when they noticed someone at the side
of the road. Being the kind couple, they stopped to help.

There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to
disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the couple loaded
Santa and his toys into their vehicle.
Soon they were driving along delivering the toys.
Unfortunately, the couple and Santa Claus had an accident.

Only one of them survived the accident.

Who was the survivor? (Scroll down for the answer. Trust me, it's worth it)

The Perks of Being a Fangirl

Wazzup Pilipinas!

A fangirl is a female fan who supports her idol. The idol may be a dancer, a singer or an actor. She shows her dedication to her idol by supporting all of his or her activities, buying their merchandise, watching him or her perform onstage and by sending him letters. There are many causes why a normal girl would become a fangirl. And there are many effects as well that can affect her life in the future or in her present-day life.

K-Pop fangirls are not all born, some are made. One reason why they are made is because of their friends who provoke them to become fangirls. When they are already fangirls, they’ll start listening to songs and watch music videos, and then they'll possibly fall in love with it all, not just to their songs and videos but also the ones who perform them.

Being a K-Pop fan is more than just adoring K-Pop idols. We are learning how to value things. It is love. It is all about sacrifices, because fan girls would do everything for their biases (K-pop idol crushes) whether it is good or bad. Sometimes, fangirls are crossing their limitations, such as learning to wander off without asking for permission to your parents, learn to lie, be warfreaks (especially if they are talking bad about your bias), disobey their parents, not focusing on their studies anymore and and being judged by other people, which lead them to the bad effects.

Demolisyon : To Recognize and Respect Our Heritage Sites

Wazzup Pilipinas!

A group of Architectural students made extreme efforts to come up with a youth conference to encourage individuals to recognize and respect our heritage or historical sites in the Philippines.

Many are perhaps unaware that the actual representations of our history are slowly becoming things of the past to make room for development and new structures. In the name of progress, we are now losing our heritage structures and are being replaced by modern establishments. What is sad or demeaning for me if these memories of a great history were demolished and flattened only to be replaced by parking lots or parks.

With the recent earthquakes that struck Cebu and Bohol where many historical structures like churches collapsed, it makes me think twice if we really need to preserve old and decaying structures, or it is necessary to bring them down and build ones with stronger foundations.

Commune Cafe Hosts the Third Wave of Coffee Event

Wazzup Pilipinas!

And I thought I blogged about this already...now I realized I must have drank too much coffee that day that I skipped writing about this event. Well, it was because I originally assigned it to somebody, but then I showed up when I tried to catch up and attended the event even though I was late...and so I was just confused...thinking somebody will be writing it for me...I guess it was really the coffee - made me so dizzy...hehehe

The event at Commune Cafe was nothing short of a good afternoon because we got to know and observe the use of some cool kitchen gadgets - which magically makes coffee.

I never imagined there could be handy kitchen devices that can be used to concoct different ways of making coffee. Thus coffee is no longer just a drink - it is an art!

Third wave coffee culture has arrived bringing with it an intensified interest in independent coffee roasters.
