“While food fairs have become quite a common place to look for home-grown products and best buys especially with the prevalence of weekend markets, the Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair will bring together more than 250 food entrepreneurs from the various regions of the country in one venue,” - DTI Undersecretary Ponciano C. Manalo

I brought home some dried fish in vacuum-sealed packaging ( Tinapang Bangus for Php 150 each and Salinas Tuyo for Php 50 each) and a few banana chips (3 for Php 100) from the Sikat Pinoy Food Fair a few days ago from their Megatrade Hall venue located at SM Megamall. I tried out some Pinoy delicacies available at the Fair which was composed of known brands that have been around for years already, and new but emerging brands that are slowly making a name for themselves.

They represent the growing number of eager business-minded individuals all aiming to make it big in the food industry.

Why not? Everyone needs to eat, and if your product is good - then it will sell itself!

Pamana Pays Tribute to Ninoy and Cory Aquino

Congratulations to the casts of the PAMANA docu-musical that pays tribute to Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and Corazon "Cory" Cojuangco Aquino.

The docu-musical tells the story of an ordinary Filipino family burdened by events that transpired all throughout the years especially recounting the life and death of two of our most honored heroes who both inspired a great number of our people to have the courage to freely demonstrate their scared sovereign will.

This is also the first time I realized that "Benigno" means "maganda" and Corazon means "puso". Combine the two and you have a "beautiful heart". That was what the play shared and it struck me hard that they were right.

Bodjie Pascua, Malou de Guzman, Jett Pangan, and Kakki Teodoro played the lead casts and showed exemplary performances. Kudos also to the supporting casts and bit players for all-out spectacular acting.

My ideal home is one where I would find peace and relaxation. It is where I would feel comfortable and at ease, able to let loose, put my shoes and socks away and walk barefoot on grass. So I am glad to hear that PrimeHomes is preserving 80% of the greenery and 65% of the open spaces in the latest community it is building called Larossa in Capitol Hills - an Urban Botanical Community right in the heart of Quezon City.

Intense is an understatement - at the UP JMA ADHOC Seek Avidity!!!

ADHOC is the UP JMA’s biggest fundraiser party and is done for the benefit of the Kids Integrated Development through Schooling (KIDS) Program, which subsidizes the education and allowance of 40 public school students, and the UP JMA Scholarship Fund meant for Business Administration students in UP Diliman .

Everyone witnessed how a huge crowd coming from several colleges and universities, including young professionals, all over the Metro, gathered all together to form one grand and euphoric party!

The organizers must have not expected such a huge turnout to the point that it became so difficult to accommodate all the attendees. I thought there was going to be a stampede as the attendees tried to force their way inside the World Trade Center due to the long wait they had to endure at the entrance.

Though there were some delays and a few uncontrolled hiccups, the stunning beats from the guest DJs, the remarkable light-effects, the free-flowing booze all over the party area, and cool dudes and lovely ladies - made the party definitely an overwhelming success!!!
