7 Qualify For P 68.5-Million Semi-Permanent Airport Terminals Project

Temporary structures are being used to help decongest Clark, Puerto Princesa, and Tacloban airports.

Pending the construction of major infrastructure improvements to three (3) of the country’s busiest airports in the next few years, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has received a total of eighteen (18) bids for the supply and installation of semi-permanent passenger terminal buildings at the Clark International Airport, the Puerto Princesa Airport, and the Tacloban Airport, respectively.

Of the 18 bids submitted last Monday (8 July 2013), only seven (7) were found to be eligible by the agency’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

Join Superbook Agents and Kapuso stars Benjamin Alves, Bettina Carlos, and Sheena Halili, with ventriloquist Ruther Urquia and his puppet Titoy, for some fun games, prizes and surprises!

And the best part? The kids will get a chance to meet and greet, and pose for a photo with Gizmo!

There will also be a special screening of Superbook’s "A Giant Adventure" episode. How cool is that?

Registration will start at 12:00 noon and entrance to the audience area will be a first come, first serve basis. Seats will also be limited to one (1) child per one (1) adult companion only so better come early.

Transport Secretary Abaya Hails New Development, Congratulates CAAP.

Following the European Union’s announcement today (10 July 2013) that it is lifting the ban which prevents Philippine air carriers from operating new flights to Europe, Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Joseph Emilio Aguinaldo Abaya made the following statement:

“The European Commission (EC) has cleared the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), which means that the EC may now rely on CAAP’s judgment regarding the safety standards being implemented by airlines used by EU citizens within the country.
