Chicken Charlie Starts the New Year with a Lot of Children's Smile

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I have a new chicken meal favorite and its called Chicken Charlie!

Just take a look at my souvenir that I brought home from the Virlanie Foundation. It may not look like much from afar, but when you look at it closer, you'll see that it has memorable writings on it.

It says "Giving back the smile to street children", and this is highly sentimental because it will forever remind me of my experience with the kids of the Virlanie Foundation, and how generous Chicken Charlie was in organizing such a heart-warming event for the homeless, abandoned and abused youth.

The first kid that I met was "BJ", a young teenager who is also a member of the Virlanie choir. He said he will be graduating this March from elementary studies, and was so proud in telling me about it. Aside from singing, he said he also loves to dance with his friends at the foundation. Wow! such a talented kid - he can sing, dance, and tell a story so vibrant and hopeful of the future.

Airports in the Philippines : The Mystery That Is Digichive

The airports in the Philippines are among the worst in the world. Is that so?

There will always be a few cases of unpleasant bathrooms, lost or misplaced baggage, delayed flights, and the list goes on,  but these are the same problems that other airports in the world are also experiencing.

Well, If compared to the other airports I've been to, ours is not really that impressive.,,,,but I agree to the statement that you get to reach the bathroom quicker in Philippine airports as compared to the huge airports of other countries.

I've been to Bangkok, and I had the longest time reaching their toilets. I swear I almost went pee-pee on my pants....hahaha.

PLDT Waives Tablet Fee For New TelPad Plans

Telecom firm Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is making an aggressive push for the transformation of its landline service by offering to waive the device fee for its new TelPad plans, a unique offering that combines landline, Internet, and a tablet in one device and service.

Aside from the waived device fee — which used to cost customer a subsidised P5,500 fee for every subscription — the accompanying tablet has also been upgraded to feature a rebranded Huawei MediaPad S7 Lite, a 7-inch tablet that sports a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, a bright WSVGA IPS display, and the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The PLDT TelPad is the Pangilinan-led telco’s attempt at transforming its languishing landline business, which in the recent decade had fallen by the wayside as newer communication options — including mobile phones and broadband Internet — had made landline phones irrelevant to most consumers.

By including a free tablet device with every subscription, Filipino families are given a low-cost ticket to owning their first tablet, which the kids can use for school and entertainment or be a handy work companion for parents. Plans start at P1,849, with speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps.

Be Careful with My Heart : Truly the Most Adorable Tele-Serye in the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas !

Do'nt you just love tele-serye (television drama series)? Does it really reflect our everyday lives? Can we Filipinos really see ourselves in it? Can many Filipinos relate to the stories, the drama, and the love stories?

My wife adores tele-seryes eventhough the rest of us find them "baduy". Especially the Be Careful with my heart which is like "The Kind and I" story but done in a Philippine family setting.

Be Careful With My Heart is a Philippine daytime TV drama which started airing on ABS-CBN last July 9, 2012. It is the show early in the morning that can be seen before the noontime show Showtime. It is top-billed by Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap.

"It tells about the story of a simple province girl Maya Dela Rosa (Jodi Sta. Maria) who tries her luck to the big city to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant. With this dream, she would not allow anyone to stop her in reaching it for this is her only way to help her family.

This is An Outrage! Recognize the Talented Bloggers!

This is an outrage!!!!

I raise my middle finger to every gossip mongerer, over-achiever, naysayer and detractor that raises an eyebrow or gives a "mata-pobre" look to newbie and inexperienced bloggers.

I raise my middle finger to anyone who only recognizes the top, popular and veteran bloggers, to those who only appreciate the pioneers in the blogosphere, and to those who gratify the clients or sponsors when it’s supposed to be the bloggers' right to choose who and what to blog.
