It isn’t a big surprise that tourists and “balikbayans” often pick
Laguna, a province of the Philippines found in the CALABARZON region in
Luzon, as one of their prime destinations included in their travel
itinerary.
That’s most probably because Laguna has earned a very good
reputation for having the best hot and cold spring resorts – for a
soothing rest and recreation, legendary and iconic scenic spots like the
Pagsanjan Falls, Laguna Lake, and Mt. Makiling - a feast for all our senses, a Disney-like theme park with magical and “enchanting”
rides, and notable as the birthplace of Jose Rizal, our country’s
national hero, – to satisfy our thirst for some Philippine history, plus
a lot of other historic spots and postcard-perfect attractions for a
very satisfying and memorable vacation.
Tekkie Tekkie Muna (Let me put you on hold for awhile, huwag masyadong magmadali dahil nakamamatay), for those who love racing games on their PS Vita, the Need For Speed Most Wanted for the PS Vita will be released very soon. Just a few more days!
“This is going to be the best racing game on Vita this year.” It’s a bold statement, but one that Alex Ward, Vice President of Criterion, doesn’t make lightly. He’s talking about the Vita version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which is being shown for the first time at Gamescom, and it’s no surprise he’s happy about what the development team has achieved with the game.
Incredibly, the Vita version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted is essentially the same as the PS3 and Xbox 360 games. “Everything from what we the ‘TV game’ is here on the small screen,” he announces. And when he says everything, he means it – every highway, back street, bridge and tunnel. All of the cars, the meet-ups, the challenges and the drive-through garages – they’re all in the game, and importantly they haven’t been cut down or changed to fit the Vita.
“This is pretty much the PS3 version of the game shoehorned onto Vita very tightly,” he continues. “This is a very technically ambitious thing to do – there aren’t any open-world games on Vita so far. To keep the world the same, to not make any compromises – that’s what we’ve done.” – IGN

Tekkie Tekkie Muna (Wait a minute Mr. Postman, Susulatan ko muna ang May Kagagawan), I think I may hesitate to go online because the penalty for online libel is worst than the regular libel.
So in support of this ridiculous law that the Aquino government carelessly put into place all because of a…. shameless Senator? I may want to participate in the hacking just to make some noise and be noticed! But anonymously, of course!
Philippine government websites are now targets of one of the biggest cyber attacks in the Philippine history, as the controversial Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 takes effect.
Members of the Anonymous hacktivist group from various parts of the world launched distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks on the government websites, making them inaccessible.
In an operation dubbed “#OpPhilippines,” Anonymous disabled websites belonging to The Official Gazette, the Senate, and the National Bureau of Investigation.
The group also listed other targets, including a website belonging to Senator Tito Sotto, in a statement published online.
Anonymous also released a video clip on YouTube to air their statement against the anti-cybercrime law that criminalizes libel online.
The new law authored by Senator Edgardo Angara and signed by President Benigno Aquino also allows warrantless monitoring of Internet and telecom users, as well as authorizes the Department of Justice to block any website without court review.
“The Philippine Government has just passed a bill that effectively ends the freedom of expression in the Philippines,” Anonymous said in its statement.
“Free-to-play is a very flexible business model,” Perotti said. “The player has the capability to spend more than in a traditional model. We can control everything from the pricing to marketing as if we were an online store.”
“With games like Watch Dogs, we could see more opportunity for $60 games to learn from the free-to-play model,” Martinez added. “The next generation will offer more and more item-based content. This will benefit our games’ profitability.”
Ubisoft has a less-than-stellar reputation on the PC, but its outlook on harnessing the free-to-play model — especially the rising go-to strategy of implementing item shops — isn’t untested (see: Mass Effect 3). I just hope I won’t see a single polka-dotted bandana mask in Watch Dogs.
College students of
today have it way too easy! They have access to a plethora of cool
gadgets and computer rigs to help them with their studies and, as a huge
bonus, to provide endless entertainment during breaks and dead hours.
Undoubtedly number one on their list are those that allows them to go
“online” to connect and communicate with people, listen to music, watch
videos, read e-books, browse blogs, play games and of course to “tweet”
and “post” away relentlessly. Nowadays, libraries, video rentals, music
shops, and video gaming centers are becoming obsolete because all of
these can now be virtually accessible from any computer with an Internet
connection. The Internet now is where most minds meet, play and do
business.
Tekkie Tekkie Muna (Let's have a coffee break, kahit ang orderin ay C2 Ice Tea and pancake), here are some info for your additional knowledge regarding Xbox 360s.
Ever wondered why games consoles look and perform better when they actually have less juice?
The Xbox 360's Xenos GPU has a less then a tenth of the processing power of a top-end PC GPU, so why don't PC games look ten times better?
'"It's funny,'" says AMD's worldwide developer relations manager of its GPU division, Richard Huddy. "We often have at least ten times as much horsepower as an Xbox 360 or a PS3 in a high-end graphics card, yet it's very clear that the games don't look ten times as good. To a significant extent, that's because, one way or another, for good reasons and bad - mostly good, DirectX is getting in the way." Huddy says that one of the most common requests he gets from game developers is: "Make the API go away."
"Wrapping it up in a software layer gives you safety and security," says Huddy, "but it unfortunately tends to rob you of quite a lot of the performance, and most importantly it robs you of the opportunity to innovate."
