Well, well the pork daughter has finally surfaced after some little respite from the scrutiny and public scorn. And now she is in London? Obviously the money stashed is still there kept in her personal vault. Poor Pinoy, London is only visited in a dream!!!!

We can only assume Jeanne Lim Napoles moved from the US to the UK because of the extradition treaty between RP and the former. Just wondering why RP's consul general in London did not confiscate her Philippine passport if she is indeed still a Filipino citizen because of a pending case of her mother and the fact that she might be holding the key to the "fruits of their labor" abroad?

Too bad Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. shared it via privilege speech at the Senate and thus confirmed only one thing:. He couldn't really defend that he is not a "Mandarambong" and so he did the only thing possible to try to save his neck - put the blame to the Malacanang Administration and try to convince everyone that the President and his men are doing something equally evil.

So that is why Malacanang declared January 20 as National Prayer Day. They probably knew what Bong was going to do. Too bad the prayers didn't worked on the thick-skinned "MadramaBong". It got rolled over by Bong's Tonka truck that he brought with him to the Senate as one of his dramatic props, along with his father, former actor and Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Sr., in a "wheelchair".

Should We Abolish the PDAF or Pork Barrel Funds?

People in different walks of life have been arguing and protesting about the Priority Development Assistance Fund, a government program most commonly known as PORK BARREL. It is how the money/funds of lawmakers and congressmen is being divided and spent to support their chosen projects.

But is it really the Pork Barrel that is evil? Or is it the system itself that makes it a source of corruption? Or yet, there's just really greedy officials that gave the word a unlikely description?

Pork Barrel per se connotes negativity but with continous study of the subject, I came to realize that many of our countrymen benefit from it such as scholarships, medical assistance, support for poor farmers and legitimate non-government organizations.

So you go out on a payday Friday night. You check your payslip and you see your withholding tax - there goes part of your hard-earned money. You pay for parking with 12% EVAT. The next morning you read the papers, you see how the taxes you paid last night was misused by people you thought you could trust. Dammit.

On October 25, a Friday night at 7 pm, you probably will go out again. Pay for parking, pay for gas, and pay for your weekly dose of Friday night food and drinks - with all those you pay 12% EVAT. BUT YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE DECEIT AND THIEVERY. You want to tell your government that what you will be paying on the night of October 25 should be properly used and should not go to the pockets of those suckers.
