Two teams from the Asia Pacific Region— Paper Rex and XERXIA are competing with 10 other challengers from around the globe for a spot on the podium and give pride to their country on the international stage.

The 12 teams will participate in the group stage and early bracket plays, which is the first phase of the Masters Series that will happen from July 10 to July 18. The four teams who finish first in the competitive regions will automatically qualify for the double elimination bracket.

The remaining 8 teams will be split into 2 groups of 4 teams each where they will battle it out in a double elimination format of best of three. The 4 winning teams will be then placed randomly in a double elimination bracket where they will compete with the awaiting top seeded teams from North America, EMEA, APAC, and the winner from the LATM vs Brazilian playoffs.

Teams from the same group will be placed on opposite sides of the brackets to prevent a repeat match. The 8 qualifying teams will compete in the playoffs where they will battle it out in a best-of-five, double-elimination format for the lower bracket and grand finals. The finals will run from July 22 to 24 where the winner of the double elimination bracket will be crowned this year’s VCT Masters Copenhagen Champion.

“Filipino gamers and esports enthusiasts can now enjoy hassle-free streaming of the games and get the tournament experience from wherever they are through our partnership with Twitch. Our Go+99 with GoSHARE will let them follow their favorite streamers and engage in passionate conversations with fellow gamers and fans and build a more inclusive esports community in the country,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid.
