DOH Retagging Covid-19 Cases

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"'Yung reporting style ng DOH, mas malala pa sa pagbago-bago ng panahon." - Sen. Joel Villanueva

The Department of Health logged its highest COVID-19 recoveries in one day at 38,075 after its data team implemented a "mass recovery" adjustment wherein all mild and asymptomatic cases have been re-tagged as recovered.

Mali naman caption niyo Philstar. Heto ang nasa memorandum -

"Symptomatic patients who have clinically recovered and are no longer symptomatic for at least 3 days and have completed at least 14 days of isolation either at home, temporary treatment and monitoring facility, or hospital, can be tagged as a recovered confirmed case and reintegrated to the community without the need for further testing, provided that a licensed medical doctor clears the patient. Patients who test RT-PCR positive and remain asymptomatic for at least 14 days can discontinue quarantine and tagged as a recovered confirmed case without need for further testing, provided a licensed medical doctor clears the patient."

"For recoveries, the DOH retagged as "recovered" those mild and asymptomatic cases who do not deteriorate 14 days after their symptoms began or their swab samples collected."

Meanwhile everyone is hoping for stepping up measures, they are finding ways to make the numbers look better."

This  government  officials  will  do  anything  to  look  good  even  pulling  our  legs. With them playing around the data presentation, would you still believe that the total number of cases is still accurate? I have totally lost confidence in this government.

Based on WHO recommendation daw? Pinag uusapan sa DOH page. Asymptomatic and mild cases that did not progress further will be presumed recovered! Nakakabahala pa din ang ganitong reporting. Recovery is now based on pressumption.

They can't do anytjing about their incompetence so they lowered the standards.

"Viral infection: Infection caused by the presence of a virus in the body. Depending on the virus and the person's state of health, various viruses can infect almost any type of body tissue, from the brain to the skin. Viral infections cannot be treated with typical antibiotics (antibacterial antibiotics); in fact, in some cases the use of antibacterial antibiotics may cause side-effects that complicate the viral infection. The vast majority of human viral infections can be effectively fought by the body's own immune system, with a little help in the form of proper diet, hydration, and rest. As for the rest, treatment depends on the type and location of the virus, and may include anti-viral antibiotics or other drugs(an example of which is the COVID19 virus ).

Granted, that Viral infection can be fought by ones  own immune system, to a certain degree, but it doesnt mean that we are safe from the pandemic; and more importantly it is not a guarantee that there wont be a reocurrence or reinfection that might occur with that very same person.

The worst part is; not all immune system are the same in terms of capability to fend off the virus.  Elderly, people suffering from other illnesses like cancer, diabetes, hypertension etc, the toddlers doesnt possess such strong level of immunity.

Puwedeng sabihin na may gumaling dahil malakas ang immune system. Pero hindi garantiya na 100 percent gumaling. At puwede sila ulit ma infect at makahawa.

Now kung makahawa ng taong mahina ang immune system yun ang masakit. Dahil puwedeng lumala at ikamatay nia.

The point here is, we need to STOP THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS or AT LEAST MANAGE AND CONTROL IT."
