3 Ways that Sun Damage Changes Our Skin

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Though possessing a tanned “sun-kissed” look has become a coveted look for some, it’s also an obvious sign of sun damage. Over time, this can affect not just how you look. It might also have tangible negative effects on your health. But even if you’ve never sunbathed or just kept sun exposure to a minimum, you may still see the same brown marks and darker patches on your skin from normal outdoor activities.

Remember, even small amounts of sunlight can still cause cumulative long-term damage. In particular, most reliable medical resources agree that even a couple of minutes of sun exposure on a daily basis is enough to have some adverse effects on your skin. Unfortunately, it can affect you in more ways than just your skin’s appearance.

Damage Due to Sunburns

If you have fair skin and have spent long hours under the sun, you’re more likely to experience sunburns. Aside from causing you to develop a darkened or reddened complexion, they are as the most obvious results of excessive sun exposure. You can think of sunburns as your body’s way of telling you that it’s had too much UV rays.

However, it’s best to remember that different complexions are also affected by UV radiation in different ways. This is thanks to each individual person having varying levels of melanin, which is the natural pigment that gives human skin, hair, and eyes their color. As a result of the differing amounts of melanin, some people are more resistant to sunburns. Specifically, people with darker skin tan more easily and will take a longer time to experience sunburns. Meanwhile, the opposite is also true. This means that people with fairer skin will find it more difficult to get a tan and are less protected from sunburns. But in the end, all of us may end up similarly affected by overexposure to the sun’s rays. This brings us to our next point.

Increased Risks of Skin Cancer

Aside from giving us sunburns, chronic sun exposure can also greatly increase the chance of developing skin cancer. This is a result of the excess radiation affecting your skin cells’ DNA, making your skin cells more likely to develop cancer cells.

Usually, skin cancer develops on parts of your body that get the most sunlight. Early signs include pre-cancerous “sandpaper spots” These usually show up as rough and scaly patches of skin. Though they may be benign at first, they should still be immediately checked out by a dermatologist. If they are not quickly treated, they are likely to lead to complications such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or even melanoma—which can be deadly.

Signs of Premature Aging

Even if some of your spots don’t end up being malignant in nature, you’ll still want to minimize sun exposure if you want to keep looking young and fresh. This is because increased doses of UV radiation can also lead to photo-aging. Putting it simply, this is a process where extended and repeated exposure to harmful radiations and even sunburns can accelerate the skin’s aging process. As a result, you might prematurely look older than your true age.

If you don’t take care of your skin, you could experience some undeniable signs of photo-aging. These usually include freckles, dry skin, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Among these signs, uneven skin tone can be most troublesome, since it can be traced to problems in melanin production due to chronic skin damage. Sometimes, they can become worse and become age spots or “liver spots.” And in worst cases, this can also increase you chances of developing skin cancer.

Always Keep Your Skin Protected

If you can’t limit the amount of time you spend outdoors during daytime, then it will be best to wear sunscreen whenever you can. This is sure to have a slowing effect on how your skin gets affected by sun-related damage. You should pick out sunscreen with SPF values of 15 or higher that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Covering up with certain types of clothing and using an umbrella during sunny days can also have a protective effect.

The most important thing to remember is to always keep yourself protected from direct sunlight. Though existing skin damage can’t be fully reversed, reducing the amount of harmful UV rays that reach your skin can prevent further damage from occurring. If done right, it might even reverse some of the damage done to a certain extent and keep your skin healthy and looking young for longer.

Guide to Trading Forex in the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I remember the old saying "Don't lay or put your egg in 1 basket" I piece of advice to every business people to not put its investment, time, effort and resources in one business ventures. Which I totally agree and applied in my life. There was a Typhoon yesterday named "Tisoy" in the Philippines which directly affects me and destroyed my friends property.

So having that result made me think, what if - If I invested all of my resources to 1 building or business and it was destroyed? Or in 1 business location of personal property to a specific city or place. I would rather have 100 different business with minimum of 1% and above ROI income rather than having 1 business with 100 times return. Because we all known that shit things and accident or even disaster happen unexpectedly.

Whether its in the travel, food, mining, media, construction, retail or what ever category line of business. I would always stick to that rule of not laying my eggs in 1 basket. So lets see the money or forex market. Another way of commanding your money on how it would control the market like stocks. If your are new to Forex or it seems unfamiliar with. I recommend you to watch The Wolf of Wall St in 2013 by Leonardo de Caprio (True Story of Jordan Belfort) and Wall St. of Michael Douglas in 1987.

But those movies are showing the bad so here's the good side. The true story of Chris Gardner who is sleeping in the Street with his son, to worth more than $60m now. Which is portrayed by real father and son Hollywood actors Will Smith and Jaden Smith. In the movie The Pursuit of Happyness in 2006.  Alpari, is one of the best trading and investment company in the market nowadays. They have strength in numbers with a strong 2m traders across 8 continents. With 20+ years of experience across more than 250 trading financial instruments.

Just like Jordan Belfort and Chris Gardner who became both millionaire in the financial trading market. Both in legal and illegal way. Enough to say that Greed is Good and Bad. As I remember the best most remarkable speech in the 1987 classic business movie Wall St. Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko gave a great insightful speech, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind.

And it will save dying corporations and broken relationships. Which is somewhat ironic and true in real life application.  So whether you want to build a career or/and a fortune. With Alpari Company as they create a sustainable forex trading environment that helps any1 to have access to the financial trading market place. So watch closely you egg every second in the basket and see which ones is rotting or turning into gold or diamond.

SPOILERS AHEAD: Love is Love Movie Features Gays' and Transgenders' Difficulty in Finding True Love

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Trannies, or more politically correctly called as transgenders, have made so much effort to transform themselves thinking men will truly love them.

But love could not be forced especially when you lie, cheat and hide your true self.

Love is Love shows us how difficult it is for gays and transgenders to find real love.

The main character has resorted to cheating his way to the heart of his best friend but ended up regretful at the end, never winning his heart.

The movie showed us how reality truly hurts.

The movie Love is Love would seem to be capitalizing on the popular LGBT issues ...Well, it does, but it does not put them on the limelight.

It shows real life circumstances of how difficult it is for a gay person, regardless how he has physically been transformed to look like a real woman (transgender).

The movie emphasized on the fact that gays and transgenders may have been accepted as part of society, but they cannot really force themselves for us to love them as real women especially if they deceive - lie, cheat, manipulate.

Physical appearance may attract at first, but after knowing the real you, everything would eventually collapse.

Love is Love the movie of RKB Productions tells us how love should not be forced. That love should be allowed freedom to find us instead.

Lead casts JC De Vera and Roxanne Barcelo with Direct GB Sampedro

Supporting casts Raymond Bagatsing, Rufa Mae Quinto, Marco Alcaraz and Neil Coleta

Also with Keanna Reeves and Imelda Schweighart

With Mr. Fu as host

Not at the red carpet Premier is Johnny Revilla, who plays JC De Vera's dad

We were at the Red Carpet Premier of Love is Love on December 3 at Trinoma Cinema 7.

The movie is showing on December 4 nationwide.

The movie revolves around gays and transgenders, and their struggles in finding the right partner who will accept them for what they are.

The story leaves them with unhappy endings pointing out that no matter how much they make an effort to even transform themselves, you simply cannot force love that was never meant to be...and personally I believe that it will never work because the balance of nature will never allow such irregularities to persist.

The movie emphasized how even the modern times of open acceptance of LGBTs could not totally change the mindset of both crooked and straight people. Love may have no boundaries but it still could not conquer all.

JC De Vera's character kept his morality intact, while Roxanne Barcelo's character was totally regretful she had to resort to deceitful actions.

Neil Coleta's character has made tremendous efforts to be accepted, but none has worked out.

Rufa Mae Quinto's character could also not get the man even after so many changes in her physical appearance.

Raymond Bagatsing's character is another kind of gay who was grateful to be accepted but still   suffered at the end, yet still believing he lived a life being loved by a man who once hated gays but eventually took his own life due to depression

Marco Alcaraz's character, looking like a real man but actually gay within, and just like Rufa's character, only serves as a loyal friend (and just to add humor) in this movie.

Honestly, we predicted the revelation at the first minutes of the movie - that moment when "Anton" was supposed to pick-up his best friend "Wacko" at the airport, but only to end up with "Winona", his best friend's fiance.

But was surprised with the not so typical ending.

At certain moments when you thought you reached the end of the story, more scenes continued to show more revelations leading to a surprising conclusion.

Kudos to the writer, director and production for coming up with this movie that doesn't really elevate transgenders or gays as totally accepted but merely welcomed as part of society.

Those who were born as men, no matter how they alter their appearance will never be really loved if their character is still flawed.

They are deemed not enough or fit to replace real women if they could not be honest with themselves and others.

Love is Love, regardless of gender. But never force it. Never fake it. Just let love find a way towards the real you ... to make it as real as it could be.

Should you watch the movie?

Yes, it is highly recommended for all the LGBT communities out there so they will be enlightened.

And even for all the so called "straights" so they will realize they should not be forced to accept  the confused genders.

We seemed to have welcomed the LGBT community as part of society, but it does not mean they can fully replace real men and women especially when they could not even fully accept their own selves.

Transforming themselves physically may deceive, but it doesn't change the truth. Living a lie does not fully work. You will still end up not getting what you really want.

This is reality. The life that gays and transgenders are living is nothing but a fantasy where everything could be as fake as their transformed appearance.

Sadly, only fellow gays and transgenders will fully accept and understand their kind. Others are mostly just faking it.

1. Railay Beach and Its Other Sceneries

Located in the Krabi Province, Railay is one of the top beaches in Thailand. If you’re
planning on visiting Thailand, this may be the first place to check out. White, sandy beach, blended with the clear, sky-blue water make this destination a complete paradise.

To get there, you’ll need to travel by boat until you arrive at the entrance of the island. You can ‘catch a ride’ either at Ao Nang or Krabi Town. However, not only the beaches make this one of the best places in Thailand.

Railay is also an impressive rock-climbing destination with karst peaks and impeccable cliffsbof limestone. But there’s more; you can still go whitewater rafting, snorkeling, elephant trekking, or even kayaking. Lastly, if you’re one of those curious individuals, head down to
the ‘Diamond Cave’ and enjoy its mysterious nature.

2.The Market Festivals of Chiang Mai

In this city, the market is constantly flooded with ‘hungry’ buyers from across the world
because it’s one of the best places in Thailand to get cheap but quality goods.

People especially love taking flights to Thailand because of the tasty delicacies in Chiang Mai’snSunday market. Vendors here sell various types of dishes from chicken satay to fried bananas. You’ll also find samosas, sweet potatoes, and a couple of crab cakes at an affordable price of only $2.

There are even different stalls selling a wide range of unique services just for you.
For instance, you can play here various traditional games. You can also get yourself some musical instruments, paintings, and natural oils.

So, what is the best time to visit Thailand if you want to grab some treats? Well, there are a lot of similar market festivals happening in this place throughout the week. If you don’t find the time to attend the Sunday market, other fantastic festivals to visit are:

● The ‘Saturday Night Walking Street’

3. Bangkok’s Grand Palace

For a complete and successful Thailand tour, Bangkok should be among the first sites you visit. The capital city has a lot of beautiful sceneries, buildings, and people with a fascinating way of life. So, once you get tired from frolicking down the beaches or cozying up to the animals, you can still enjoy a lot here.

To start, the historical art that you’ll find in the Grand Palace will peak way above your
interests. It’s a place filled with ancient ruins and relics like the Emerald Buddha’s temple. It’s said that this enlightened god is represented by a hair or something shaped like a bone.

Once you’ve had your fill of this glamorous Palace, feel free to visit other captivating
sceneries here. With your Thailand map, you should easily spot famous travel hotspots like Wat Arun or Wat Po. What’s more, if you want to catch the sunset, Bangkok is one of the best places in Thailand to do so.

4. Enjoy a Trip to Phuket

One key factor that you’ll find being mentioned in almost all online Thailand travel tips is the need to visit its impeccable off-the-coast beaches. They are known for their beauty, sense of adventure, and calming nature, as well as the atmosphere. The main Thailand islands that you should keep in mind are:

● ‘Ko Samet’
● ‘Ko Chang’
● ‘Ko Samui Lie’
● ‘Ko Pha Ngan’
● ‘Ko Tao’
● ‘Phuket’
● ‘Ko Phi Phi’

It’s worth noting that the most developed island in the country is Phuket. You can travel to the mainland and back quite easily, thanks to two large bridges.

The other attractive beaches like the ‘Ko Phi Phi’ are popular diving spots. In fact, ‘Ko Phi Phi’ is famous because of the film, ‘The Beach.’ Of course, if these destinations don’t please you, there are loads of breathtaking places such as the Phang-nga bay that you could still visit.

5. Chiang Rai — One of the Best Places in Thailand

This industrial town can be referred to as one of the best places in Thailand to travel. It’s an amazing place that sits at the heart of the Golden Triangle. It borders the ancient Myanmar city and offers something unique for all.

Impressive SEA Games 2019 Opening Ceremonies Wows Audience

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The maximum seating capacity of the Philippine Arena is 55,000 compared to the Araneta Coliseum, known as the Big Dome at Araneta Center in Cubao, which has only a maximum of 36,000.

So if you can fill up this venue, then you are probably a much better attraction compared to those who were able to fill up the Big Dome.

"The Philippine Arena is the world's largest indoor arena. It is a multipurpose indoor arena with a maximum seating capacity of 55,000 at Ciudad de Victoria, a 140-hectare tourism enterprise zone in Bocaue and Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines about 30 kilometers north of Manila. It is one of the centerpieces of the many centennial projects of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) for their centennial celebration on July 27, 2014. The legal owner of the arena is the INC's educational institution, New Era University." - Wikipedia

So I thought they would not allow taking videos at the Philippine Arena during the SEAGames 2019 Opening Ceremonies. It was clearly specified on the SEAGames official Facebook page

However, everyone still took out their smartphones and cameras to take videos. I guess you can't stop Pinoys in documenting the moments especially this particular national event happening in the Philippines and now being observed by Southeast Asia, if not the world.

Wazzup Pilipinas was overwhelmed with the number of athletes that marched in stage...I thought it would never end, and the song "Manila" was looping in the background while everyone was singing and grooving to the beat, all-smiles, and even joined by the foreigners seated around us, whether wearing formal or casual outfits, everyone truly cherished every moment.

The March of the Philippine athletes seemed like endless dahil sa dami ng delegates...akala mo hindi na mauubos...But still hindi nakakasawang makita ang mga athletes at kantahin paulit-ulit yung song...hahaha.. iba talaga feeling when you are actually there seeing the faces of both athletes and audience.

The entrance of teams from different countries with our very own beauty queens leading ala santacruzan style was satisfactory enough.

When it was the turn of the Philippine athletes, the song "Manila" running as their soundtrack while they marched was also sang by most of the audience as per initial encouragement of the earlier hosts during the early hours before 7pm.

Yeah, it may have been set with the crowd, but still it was catchy to sing along with the iconic tune.

Kudos also to the organizers and production team of the Opening Ceremonies, and to the President for showing up.

Nagulat ako kasi tolerable ang start ng event. Hindi late. Hindi the so called "Filipino Time".

Even the President was early kaya nasimulan niya ang opening ceremonies of SEAGames 2019.

They said 7pm, it did start at only a few minutes after 7pm....Though everyone was informed of the 5pm lockdown when all the doors of the Arena will close.

But even before that, may mga lively familiar hosts (comedians from TV) and performances na agad every 20 minutes yata so the crowd was kept entertained. The hosts were sort of giving us a heads up on what will happen later - including the singing of the "Manila" song.

We were seated infront and right in the center feeling VIPs. Now I know I should invest on a DSLR with zoom lens to get better videos and photos since the stage is too big and wide to capture with just a smartphone camera, also unfortunate that they don't allow tripods or monopods (selfie sticks) inside the Philippine Arena. Nangawit talaga ako with my smartphone.

Pinaiwan din sa amin yung food and water na baon. Kaya medyo uhaw at gutom...makapag dinner kami at almost midnight na when we got back in Quezon City. Kahit may mga food stalls outside, we didn't bother to go out and buy because baka ma miss namin ang mga pangyayari.....kasi like I said, may mga earlier performers din.

Honestly, Wala akong maipipintas masyado sa opening ceremonies. Professionally organized and world-class performances talaga.

Wazzup Pilipinas was with the Turismo Filipina 2019 candidates at the SEAGames 2019 Opening Ceremonies held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

What can I say about the SEAGames 2019 opening ceremonies?

World class!!!

I was actually surprised, and wanting more. So when the performances ended... I felt super bitin ... More, more more!!!

Watching LIVE is a different experience because you get to watch the BTS that you can't see on TV.

And President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was even seen grooving to the beat.

Now, I've read about the accissations that the cost of all these was 11 Billion. And they are questioning if it really looks like as per amount, and alledging that all that money were never accounted for. Overpriced yet many venues are still unfinished. Logistics are still suffering disorganization, and athletes are treated less than expected from a host country.

But those are totally different stories yet to be investigated further.

For now, we are sending our congratulations to the organizers of the SEA Games 2019 Opening Ceremonies.

Congratulations also to Turismo Filipina organizers for being part of such a historical moment, and to the organizers of the opening ceremonies for satisfactory production numbers.

For supporting photos and videos, please check our official Facebook page of Wazzup Pilipinas

I originally had no plans of watching the SEA Games 2019 opening ceremonies at the Philippine Arena because it was clearly mentioned on the official Facebook page of the 2019 SEA Games that video taking of any form is not allowed. So that includes livestreaming.

But when I got an invite, my first thought was "Oh, Well, I'll just watch it as a spectator" and take photos instead.

But when I saw almost everyone using their smartphones to take videos, and the security unminding them, then I got so excited, quickly took out my smartphone too and started recording.

Naturally, my thoughts were all about sharing the videos on my social media later. The Filipinos who can't afford to buy the expensive tickets, in our case is P12k per person, will now be able to watch the SEA Games 2019 opening ceremonies.

"The Patron A tickets cost ₱12,000, ₱4,000 for the upper box, ₱1,500 for the general admission center, and ₱1,000 for the general admission side."

I am not waiting for any thank you from my viewers, but I do believe the government should have opened the venues, even the privately owned Philippine Arena owned by INC / New Era, for free as it is a national event we should all be able to witness. The government should have shouldered the cost of the entrance to the opening ceremonies.
