Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi highlighted the Philippine energy sector’s strategic directions anchored on President Rodrigo Duterte’s banner campaign--Ambisyon 2040--when he was Guest Speaker during the GE Philippines’ Powering the Philippines Forum Wednesday at the New World Hotel in Makati City.
The 8-point Strategic Directions from now to 2040 are: ensure energy security; expand energy access; promote a low carbon future; strengthen collaboration among all government agencies involved in energy; implement, monitor and integrate sectoral and technological roadmaps and action plans; advocate passage of the Department’s legislative agenda; strengthen consumer welfare and protection and foster stronger international relations and partnerships.
