Madonna Visits Bahay Tuluyan Foundation and Hospicio De San Jose

"Sooner or Later performed live at the Academy Awards was one of the most spectacular live performances Madonna has EVER given. It was the 1991 Oscars, and Madonna, in a sparkling low-cut Bob Mackie gown and dripping with 20 million dollars' worth of Harry Winston diamonds, was set to perform her sultry Dick Tracy torch song, 'Sooner or Later'. Her vocals were powerful, confident & assured, She looked utterly breathtaking. And the audience (of more than a billion people worldwide) were left starstruck & dazzled. Her date for the night was none other than Michael Jackson. Her song ended up winning. Sooner or later, Madonna always steals the show!" - Charles Manning III

I have to agree with the above statement. Madonna's performances are always well thought and executed. She has that uncanny appeal that will make you look and listen from start to end. Never was a boring or dull time. Like what we say on our radio show, there should be no dead air to keep the interests going, and Madonna can even wake up the dead with her fabulous acts whether its on a music video or performing live on stage at her concert or at awards like the Academy.

When I am an emo-sap, my favorite song would be "Power of Goodbye". If I'm feeling sassy, it would be "Beautiful Stranger". And if I'm not feeling social, "Frozen". Madonna's songs really always has great messages and fantastically choreographed dance moves.

What is also awe-inspiring about her is her noble heart. While some Catholic church leaders shake their heads as Madonna continues her Asian World Tour. The Queen of Pop, sneaked in to the Philippines quietly, ahead of her concerts, to bring cheer to orphaned and abused street children.

What will the church say about this now?

She was earlier seen visiting the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation in Manila and supporting the advocacy for Manila's street children from where she posted on Instagram "Chillin with my Homies at the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation, Inc., giving shelter to Orphans street children / trafficking abuse victims in Manila"

Also on Instagram, Madonna shared with her 6.2 million followers photos of her playing with babies at the orphanage Hospicio de San Jose. “Everyone needs a tickle!” she wrote in another post.

Madonna is such a humanitarian (but some may call this acts as just a show). Maybe everyone should somehow also reflect on the lyrics of her songs like that of "Frozen"

"Love is a bird, she needs to fly
Let all the hurt inside of you die
You're frozen
When your heart's not open"

However, not too many people love the pop star. "In his criticism of Madonna, Singapore Archbishop Goh told Catholics that "as the people of God, we should subscribe to authentic Arts that lead us to God... and not support the 'pseudo arts' that promote sensuality, rebellion, disrespect, pornography, contamination of the mind of the young, abusive freedom, individualism at the expense of the common good, vulgarity, lies and half-truths."

"Obedience to God and His commandments must come before the arts," said Archbishop Goh."

"Unbelievable! You guys had problem with Adam Lambert because he is gay, now you have problem with Madonna's because of her lyrics and stage props? Afraid of her props? Seriously? Stop cheating yourself by moving ONE step forward and TEN steps back."

"He is giving Madonna way too much credit if he thinks that she's gonna crack the faith of all the Christians in Singapore with just one concert. If allegiance to your religion can be so easily rocked then perhaps think to look inward rather than outward."

In the Philippines, someone is also not happy about Madonna's arrival here in the country. The Archbishop of Lipa also denounces the international pop star.

"She came, she landed and will conquer SMX Arena with her ‪#‎rebelhearttour‬. The music icon changed the way we experienced concerts, from songs to sets and even the use of the microphone, more than 25 years ago. "Instead of just presenting songs, we wanted to combine fashion, Broadway, rock and performance art", Blond Ambition choreographer, Vincent Paterson talking to People Magazine in 1990." - Handpicked by RonAndChris

Madonna, one of the bestselling artists of all time, is currently in the country for a two-night show at SM Mall of Asia Arena, on Feb. 24 and 25, as part of her ongoing “Rebel Heart” world tour. The Manila leg is presented by promoter Music Management International.

"The world is full of people who talk the talk, but how many of us walk the walk?" - ‪‎Madonna‬
