Pampered to the Max at David's Salon

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We need to reward ourselves every now and then for a job well done. We are happy to announce that your Pambansang Blog ng Pilipinas, WazzupPilipinas.com, has been well accepted as the preferred media partner and brand ambassador of many events and brands. They trust us to get real attention from potential customers who are readers of the Wazzup Pilipinas site. They know that the followers of our site are the right people to reach for their products and services promotional campaigns. There may be other sites that boast of a bigger audience, but most of their readers are mainly there for something else rather than eventually becoming customers of their brand.

Thus, we were fortunate enough to get the chance to collaborate with David's Salon, the biggest chain of salons in the Philippines, for a chance to try out their services so we can write about our pampering experience at their salon. We met David himself at one event where we were also invited as media partner so it was a meeting that led to the opportunity for a makeover session for me and my wife. We considered it as a reward for our efforts in managing the WazzupPilipinas.com site and social media accounts. It has been up for only less than three years yet it has achieved phenomenal success with so many partnerships and awards that we now introduce ourselves as the fast-rising and multi-awarded blog site of the Philippines.

My wife was so eager to visit the salon when we finally arranged our confirmed schedule with David's Salon Marketing Manager Lotte Villarosa. Since my wife and I were both busy with other obligations, finding a schedule during weekdays was quite hard. The salon could only accommodate us during weekdays since weekends are usually busy as well for them. Thus, we end up choosing a Thursday for the much-awaited make-over at David's Salon, one of the most popular salons in the Philippines frequented by many equally popular personalities of the Philippines.

Our preferred branch was the one at SM Megamall located in Ortigas Center, Pasig. They actually have two branches there located at the 2nd and 5th floors of the mall. We were assigned at the 2nd floor where we were welcomed as VIPs.

We were introduced to two senior stylists, Jaime Descallar and Jojo Dayon,  who guided us on their recommended hairstyle for the two of us. A third senior stylist, Ruben Israel, handled the make-up for my wife. There was also a nailtech, Erly Serrano, who did the manicure, pedicure, and foot spa, and a couple of junior stylists, Ryan Opal and Eric Dela Cruz, who followed the lead of their seniors.

My wife had hair dye, hair spa, keratin, manicure, pedicure, and casual make-up, while I had a haircut, hair dye, and foot spa.

It was indeed a pampering day since it is not everyday that we get to experience being worked on for almost 5 hours. We were extremely privileged to have been given the opportunity to try out the services of David's Salon. It was our day to step out from our busy lives and relax in a salon for a much-needed pampering.

My wife's hair had an extraordinary treatment and she was saying that she also enjoyed her very comforting manicure and pedicure very much. The casual make-up designed for special events like dinner dates brought out her beauty.

Though I already love my wife even without make-up, the work done on her face made her look like a beauty queen. It was not surprising since the make-up artist is used to having beauty queens as her frequent customers.

I liked how my new haircut looked and that my white hair (runs in the family down to our previous generations) were now gone thanks to the hair coloring.

My stylist chose to give me that not-so-tidy look hair cut, instead of the traditional barber's cut, so I would look younger and slimmer. He picked a soft brown level 5 mocha hair dye for me.

My foot spa was relaxing though the nailtech complemented my foot saying "Walang kalyo" about my feet. It was my first time to get my nails cleaned so I never imagined it was that comforting. She also massaged my feet for that extra pampering experience.

Thank you also to the Assistant Manager, Jessa Marino, for coordinating our every need at David's Salon. The team at SM Megamall were very courteous and know exactly what they are doing. They were fast and precise, while making sure we are very comfortable during the several hours of stay at their salon.

Our lovely daughter, Hannah Krystelle, was with us to act as our documentation specialist for our photo and video coverage while we were being serviced by the stylists. She was able to endure waiting for five hours to accompany us in our makeover sessions. Thank you, Hannah Krystelle, for the awesome photos and videos. All of what you see in this article, except for the photo of her and my wife above, were shot by her. Amazing!

The salon is one of the most successful international salon in the Philippines with branches even outside the country. This is where you can go if you want real value for your money since their licensed hairstylist are highly trained and consistently being regularly trained to keep updated with the latest trends in salon services.

We would like to thank David Charlton, owner of David's Salon, for the fabulous treat for wifey and me. We highly recommend their salon to our readers who expect a special day of pampering.

We are preparing a video to be uploaded soon at our Wazzup Pilipinas YouTube channel and embedded here as soon as it's available. Please do watch out for it.

More photos will be uploaded at the official Wazzup Pilipinas Facebook fan page.
