Easy Taxi Launches Customized Cabs of Partner Brands Offering Cool Freebies

Easy Taxi, the number one taxi hailing app in the world, formally announced it partnership with four great brands at a special launch held at Eastwood Open Park last October 30, 2014. The night unveiled the four product cars from the partner brands namely Belo Medical Group, WeChat Philippines, Smart Communications and Sun Cellular, each with a distinctive offering for its passengers from freebies to free Wi-Fi in every vehicle. A short presentation, interview and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, with a sky full of fireworks to cap off the evening.  The promo aims to give Filipinos a unique, fast, and safe riding experience with the launch of the Easy Taxi Product Cars.

The taxi app company has been sharing teasers in their Facebook page showing images representing the four brands, and some bloggers and online media have been sharing teaser articles to further announce to the public the upcoming launch with a hashtag #Oct302014 claiming October 30, 2014 as Easy Taxi day.

At the launch, we found out that there will soon be customized Easy Taxi cabs bearing the images of the four brands coupled with some promotional gimmicks to further attract customers to use the Easy Taxi app in booking their taxi cab rides. The pimped taxi cabs will be a great treat to the passengers as they get the chance to bring home some freebies.

The two-month long promo to officially start on October 31, and will last until December 31, 2014. Get a chance to have your Easy Taxi ride for free, anywhere within Metro Manila and for one destination only, plus other amazing prizes and perks, when you book using the Easy Taxi app. Easy Taxi Product Cars will be roving around the streets of Manila, giving free rides to Easy Taxi users while offering a one-of-a-kind in-cab experience.


Celebrity Reporter Phoemela Barranda hosted the Easy Taxi event while Mario Berta, head honcho of Easy Taxi led the launch and unveiling of the customized Easy Taxi cabs along with brand ambassadors and heads of every brand including Crystal Belo, daughter of Vicky Belo, Chino Lui Pio, Luigi D' Avola, Vernice Enciso and other top executives from the business world.

Here’s what you need to do to get the free Easy Taxi ride:

1. Book your ride using the Easy Taxi App
2. Wait for a call from Easy Taxi saying you’re eligible for a free ride.
3. Follow the varying mechanics per brand


For the Smart cab, post a selfie with the branded "lollipop" signage using the hashtag #SmartEasyTaxi. Play with the brand ambassador and answer some questions.


For the Sun cab (Sun subscribers only),  take a selfie with the Sun Easy Taxi cab and share your photos through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #SunEasyTaxi. The chosen photos will be posted in the Sun Facebook page and will receive amazing prizes from Sun Cellular.

Non-riders also get opportunities to win by simply taking a picture of the Sun Easy taxi and sharing it through their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the #SunEasyTaxi. The chosen photos will also be posted in the Sun Facebook page and will receive amazing prizes from Sun Cellular.


For the Belo cab, you’ll get a Belo Beauty Box - beauty products like AcnePro, Sun, etc., as soon as you enter the Belo cab, and you get to have some Memories for Keeps because the taxi driver will take an instant souvenir photo of you using a Polaroid camera.



When you book with Easy Taxi and got the WeChat cab, take a photo with the WeChat car/WeChat pillow which is inside the cab, and share it on your WeChat Moments with the #WeChatTaxi to get the free taxi ride.

I rarely use a cab when going out nor commuting but I'm a car enthusiast and I love how this Easy Taxi promotes their booking app, I mean how can you say "no" to a free ride and at the same time, get some freebies? I think, this strategy will be really effective especially to those people who use it a lot of times.
