Live Close to Nature with These Properties from Lamudi Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Recently honored as the Destination of the Year at the 25th Annual TTG Travel Awards, the Philippines has once more bolstered its place in the international travel scene.

With its 2,000-year-old rice terraces carved into imposing mountains, islands boasting white-sand beaches scattered like pearls in deep aquamarine waters, and vibrant reef systems and diving sites teeming with rich wildlife, the Philippines makes the perfect home for those who revel in the splendor of nature.

For homebuyers searching for a nature retreat, Lamudi lists the five best places and properties where one can live amidst the tropical beauty of the Philippines.

Caramoan, Camarines Sur (photo above)

The reality show Survivor introduced the world to the rugged, pristine beauty of Caramoan. Tucked away in the southeastern tip of Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region, this municipality proves to be a paradise off the beaten track with its lush coastal mountains, white-sand beaches, and picturesque limestone formations jutting from clear turquoise waters.

In Lamudi, a 3-hectare residential lot located in Brgy. Agaas is listed, where one can build a home in Caramoan close to the white sands of Gota Beach, the hidden lagoon of Matukad Island, or the gorgeous sandbar of Cotivas Island.

Basco, Batanes

Living in the northernmost province of the Philippines means waking up to a sweeping panorama of softly rolling hills, rugged shores punctuated by a lone lighthouse, and the undulating Pacific Ocean. Feast on fresh lobster and fish, marvel at old Ivatan stone houses and roads carved out of mountainsides, and skip-run like a child amidst verdant pasturelands where cattle graze.

Typhoons may frequent Batanes during the rainy season, but for a total commune with nature, Batanes offers a respite that few places can top.

Banaue, Ifugao
Find a home close to the majestic Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras, centuries-old terraced pond fields chiseled into mountainsides, and enjoy the crisp mountain air and the spectacular sight of these grand stairways to the sky. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is truly an incredible engineering feat.

Nearby are other natural marvels: Chappa Falls, which is over an hour’s walk from Ifugao’s town proper, and Tappiya Falls, which is hidden at the back of the amphitheater-like Batad rice terraces.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Lamudi lists a 7,708-sqm beach lot in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, where one can build the perfect beach home and sunbathe in long expanses of white sand lined with palm trees on one side and azure waters on the other.

After beach-bumming, head on out to the other gems of Ilocandia: the picture-perfect Paoay Church, the sand dunes of La Paz, the massive Kapupurawan rock formation, the 80-foot Kabigan Falls, the imposing Bangui windmills, and the Patapat Viaduct, the fourth longest bridge in the country snaking between luxuriant mountains and crystal blue waters.

El Nido, Palawan

Hailed as the Philippines’ top beach and island destination by CNN Travel, the travel news website of CNN, El Nido boasts of soaring limestone cliffs, tranquil lagoons among towering karst formations, and clear cyan waters where corals, tropical fish, turtles, dolphins, manta rays, dugongs, sharks, and whales thrive.

“Sure, it’s got powder-fine beaches and gin-clear waters. But the views are what really sell the place,” says CNN Travel.

A beachfront home in this 4.5-hectare beach lot in Cadlao Island listed in Lamudi will be a perfect way to enjoy El Nido’s ravishing seascapes travel enthusiasts from the world over rave about.
