Tune Hotels: Convenience On the Go

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Are you a tourist from another country visiting Manila or a local who’s looking for a place to stay for a night or two? Well, Tune Hotels may just be the right place to book a room.

Tune Hotels is a pretty new establishment in the Philippines and has already established name in different countries as far as England, Australia, and Thailand just to name a few. They have branches sprouting in different parts of the Philippines and the branch that we were able to have a staycation at was the Ortigas branch. Fairly new, just opened last February.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed and assisted by the staff, which is actually unexpected as the hotel isn’t a 5 star hotel since it caters for backpackers who just need a night or two to have a good nights rest before venturing of to another adventure around the metro.

They have merchandises near the lobby counter that you can purchase as souvenirs ranging from shirts to caps, and a small display containing some snacks like chips and chocolates.

The lobby boasts of a very neat and cozy appearance plus the opportunity to check on your emails and social media account via their Internet-connected computers lined up near the lobby, and another cool system, located separately but also near the lobby counter, that allows you to take "selfies" because of the webcam attached to it.

They offer three types of rooms all for the same price but meets the needs of different guests. They have the double room that has a single queen size bed, single bedroom that has two separate beds both of which have the same size and amenities.

Complimentary soaps and conditioning shampoo an be found inside the duffel-like bag containing your room towels. The room was meant for two individuals so there's two sets for us.

The beds are comfy and good enough for two people. Plus there's the wall-attached table that you can use to put your laptop or paper works.

They also have 4 rooms that cater for people with disability mainly those that require a wheel chair or needs extra space to move around. The size of the room is almost double the regular size, just enough space to get around. The bathroom is also very spacious and does not have a divider for easier access of the guests.

As I’ve mentioned, the hotel serves tourists or guests who just want a place to stay after a long day outside touring or doing other activities. So, with that kind of set up, upon booking a room, you only pay for the room, there is a separate payment for air-conditioning, entertainment and toiletries but then as guest for one night we didn’t feel like we were in a hotel with just an ordinary bed, it was really comfy, better than my bed at home.

The lobby area is spacious and the elevators are definitely secure as the only way to enter your designated room is by tapping in your key in the elevator and select your floor. The only direct access you will have is at the lobby and the parking lot.

Yes, they also have a parking space for guests who have their own cars. Though, there are only limited slots but then think about it, not all hotels that caters for backpackers provide parking space.

Being at the center of Ortigas center and right at the busy district of Pasig city, Tune Hotels is a melting pot of shopping (SM Megamall, Shangrila Mall, etc) and business districts.

The hotel focuses on the concept of value for money that their guest would like to spend on, their 5 features (Comfy bed, power showers, 24 hour security, cleanliness and central location) will be their key selling point.

So, next time if you plan to visit the Philippines whether it be in the metro or in the province Tune Hotels would be a great place to book a room. Currently, they have branches at Makati, Quezon City, and Manila and soon near the vicinity of Mall of Asia. As for the province, they currently have at Angeles City, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.
