Every Summer Has a Story Worth Sharing

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Every summer has a story."

Summer vacation is probably the happiest time for a student like me. This is where we wake up late, sleep late, have a relaxation, go to the beach and do whatever we want. But as my quotation said, every summer has a story. We expect that we can do all we want, party all night and always having fun. But for my summer 2014, my expectations all went down. Summer 2014 was my not-so-good summer time that I’d ever had. It was a tragic and a bit happy at the same time.

On my summer vacation, my sister and I spent our vacation in Bulacan. We stayed there for a week with our cousins. It was fun staying there because we missed each other and we did things that we liked to do. We talked about what happened in our school what’s new about us. During holy week, my family and I did the “Visita Iglesia.” We went in seven churches and I could say that I enjoyed it and I had time for God.

My summer was tragic and sad because I lost a special person in my life, my mom. She is the most important person for me. I felt so down and I don’t know what will happen to me now that my mom is not here on my side. I was sad because I will graduate this year and she’s not here to congratulate me and to accompany me on stage to get my diploma.

But on the positive side, I know that she is okay now and happy. It was so hard for me to move on but I just have to accept it, continue my life and achieve my dreams as what my mom wanted me to do. I know that she will be always there to guide me and help me to surpass all the challenges that I might encounter on my senior year and to the rest of my life.

I also joined the activities in our church. Our organization taught children about catechism and God. We also handled the “sagala” in our baranggay. It was fun because I love kids and I know that they also have fun and learned many things from us. I was also happy that I had time to serve God. I also gained new friends and met other people during summer

Your summer depends on how you will spend it. Will it be worth it or not? We experience many things and unforgettable moments during summer. We just don’t expect things that might happen in summer, whether it will be good or bad. So we must spend it to the fullest and enjoy little things that we do because summer just lasts for two months and time flies so fast. I could say that my summer 2014 was not my happiest summer because of what happened but at least I enjoyed some things that I did this summer and I was happy that I had a bonding with my family, relatives and friends.
