Fusion V: Epson's Annual Media Appreciation Activity

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Epson Philippines Corporation has invited their media friends to join Epson Fusion V. The event is scheduled on Wednesday to Friday, May 21 to 23, 2014.

For this year, they announced that participants are heading to the exclusive Bluewater Resort located on Sumilon Island. The island is located at the southeastern tip of the Cebu mainland.
"There is a legend about an island with white sand beaches and a lush forest... They say that this idyllic place takes its name from being a storm shelter for fishermen, where they can take cover from strong typhoons. With this very warm weather, Isn't it the perfect time to discover this island?"

The name Sumilon came from “sumilong”, which means to take refuge. Sumilon Island is known as a storm shelter for fishermen during strong typhoons. It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was made a fish sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of Siliman University Marine Reserve.

Fusion is the annual media appreciation activity of Epson Philippines Corporation, and is one way of showing their gratitude for their media friends' help in Epson's programs and activities.

One of the event highlights is a program on Day 1 that includes a special preview to journalists of what the public can expect from Epson for the rest of the year, including new product offerings and the latest core technology applications.

They have also lined up exciting adventure and R&R activities for the entire three days to make Epson Fusion V a truly unforgettable experience.

The adventure activities include Canyoning along the Matutinao River leading to a picnic lunch at Kawasan Falls, a Whale Shark Encounter in Oslob and an excursion at the famous Tumalog Falls.

Tumalog Falls

Tripadvisor.com ranks Tumalog Falls as the #1 among all of Cebu island's attractions. Also known as Toslob Falls or Mag-ambak Falls, it is situated at the town of Oslob and is about 15 - 20 minutes away from the Whale- watching site. Many visitors have described the attraction as "ethereal" , "enchanting", "refreshing", with "mini-umbrellas that cascade fine strands of cold, fresh water in a rain-like fashion". This is your chance to capture an awesome moment with the Tumalog Falls in the background. Join the Tumalog Selfie Challenge during the Epson Fusion V event, and be our #1 Selfie Icon! Cebu is part of the emigrational path of the whale sharks. In the Pacific Belt, whale sharks, known as "tuki" in Cebu or Butanding, are widely distributed in the waters of Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Palau, Indonesia, Philippines, India, among others.
