REDux: The RED Trance After-Event RAVE Highlights

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Red is the strongest color I know that is so intense and powerful to the eye. That's probably why red is used to paint firetrucks that are always in a hurry. Ironically, it is used in the traffic signal color to mean STOP, and represents passionate hearts during Valentine's Day. It is the color of rubies and strawberries, but is also the color for fresh blood and wild fire. It is my favorite color that I use when I want to emphasize or highlight something in everything that I'm working on.

Now imagine what it would mean if we could reach a red state of mind. Our heartbeats will stop....as we go rushing to a passionate, bloody and really wild time?

La Salle's Business Management Society brought us to an arena of the red state of mind. This is where towns were painted red and where upbeat music lingered and created ecstatic spirits going wild and free!

REDux: The RED Trance gave us an experience we will never forget. Partygoers underwent a Radical Audio Visual Experience (R.A.V.E.) that brought each one of us to our RED STATE OF MIND.

The event was held last March 14, 2014 at the PICC FORUM 1 from 8PM onwards. The event had a fashion show at the start of the party, featuring ensembles from Penshoppe worn by members of the Business Management Society.

Everyone was welcome to come in with all their glories or imperfections. After all, it was a night like not many nights. Everyone that was feeling great joined us. Everyone that was feeling under the weather joined us. We embraced the night all together as we drink non-stop beer and cocktails, and partied to the DJ's music beats.

You are welcome to come as you are in all your glory and all your imperfections. If you are feeling great, join us. If you are feeling under the weather, join us. Let’s embrace it all together as we sip nurturing teas and share the day together. - See more at: http://soulfulexpressions.net/red-tent-temple/#sthash.dfo1W1Qk.dpuf

The lights may be blinding but we do not feel pain. The sounds may be thundering but we fear no lightning-like troubles. We feel so much free to drown our sorrows and celebrate our joys that ecstatic night of being with peers of our generation.

We felt emotions coming up and down. Was it the liquor? Was it the sweat? Was it the heat in the venue as we felt drowsy in an ocean of people? But wait...we feel like we are in a trance. So enchanting, so tempting.

It is a night when we can laugh it out loud and not worry that we will wake up the neighbors. It is a night when we can drink all we want since it was a weekend. Responsibilities set aside, we hear nothing but our radical hearts filled with enormous joy as we danced to what seems to be an eternity.

The venue was packed with La Sallians and those from other schools alike enjoying a great rave party as it is. There were several stations for beer like San Miguel beer and also Manila beer, but for those who want to party hard there was Sky vodka and Jose Cuervo shots.

Partygoers were in a treat with music by Lucio Pao and Urbn's Marc Marasigan among others. As everyone partied the night away as if there was no tomorrow, I personally enjoyed Marc Marasigan's set because his mixes were definitely something to look forward to at every event.

Ready for another REDux? I'm definitely ready and waiting for the next REDux RAVE party.

  1. On a more substantive level, does the music merely provide entertainment or does it provide a physical benefit of some sort...
