Got to Believe in Magic: A Night to Remember

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Do you believe in magic? If not, then you must. Magic doesn't only mean those illusions or tricks made by those so-called magicians.

Sometimes, magic can also be a representation of those wonderful, amazing happenings in our lives. Something that we treasure and cherish as time passes by — memories. Those memories that we share with our friends and family.

As high school students, one of the most awaited events in our high school lives is the Juniors' and Seniors' Promenade. This is the night wherein we will have a memorable bond— eating, taking pictures and of course, dancing with our friends and well, some with their special someone.

Aside from the bond that we'll have with them, the foods, the romantic ambiance and the theme also matters for us to have a dashing night. But there's one more thing that we shouldn't forget to make everything perfect. Can you guess what it is?

It's actually the music or the songs that will be played in this evening. To help those who will plan their prom, here's a list of those best songs for this unforgettable event.

5. Wonderful Tonight

This song's the number five on the list. It's a ballad written by Eric Clapton. It was included on Clapton's 1977 album Slowhand and released as a single the following year. Clapton wrote the song about Pattie Boyd, and it is mentioned in her autobiographical book Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me. The song was a modest hit upon its release, charting at #16 in the US and #30 in the UK.

4. My Valentine

The fourth song on the list. A song co-written and recorded by American adult contemporary artist Jim Brickman, with a guest vocal from Martina McBride. It first appeared on his 1997 album Picture This, and later on McBride's album Evolution.

3. It Might Be You

We're now on number 3. It is a popular song with music written by Dave Grusin, and lyrics written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. It was performed by singer/songwriter Stephen Bishop in the 1982 film, Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. Bishop's recording peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on May 7, 1983, and spent eight weeks in the Top 40. It also spent two weeks at No. 1 on the adult contemporary chart in April the same year.

2. More Than You'll Ever Know

So the second to the last song is written and recorded by country music artist Travis Tritt. It is the lead-off single released from his 1996 album The Restless Kind. It peaked at #3 in the United States, and #7 in Canada.

1. King and Queen of Hearts

The last song on the list is the King and Queen of Hearts♥ . It was sung by David Pomeranz. This is a very romantic song that's best played during the part of the coronation of the King and Queen of the night.

That's it! I hope this list can help those people who needs song suggestions in their promenade but before I end this article, I would like to share a song that can be played for the last dance of those couples. Since it's teleserye on ABS-CBN is a hit (Got to Believe starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), why don't you try the song Got to Believe in Magic.

It's actually a nice song because it tells something about the magic of love. The magic on how fate can bring two people together. The magic when two people fall in love.

“Life is filled with so many exciting twists and turns. Hop off the straight and narrow whenever you can and take the winding paths. Experience the exhilaration of the view from the edge. Because the moments spent there, that take your breath away, are what make you feel truly alive." –Stacey Charter
