Halloween Parties: Disrespect for the Dead?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We all know that November 1, remembered as a holiday is known as All Saints Day or the Celebration of the Dead in Catholic Church. This is a traditional celebration for the deceased especially those people who are in our family, our close friends or even our idols. We recall them by visiting to their grave, give them flowers and light candles symbolizing our love for them will not end. Not only we visit the dead but also this is the time where we tend to have a reunion in a family or a friendship.

But nowadays, only few people are doing this tradional practice. Instead, they just dress in a horrific image and join to a party and having fun. Though it is an opportunity for some people because they have the chance to win prizes and see lot of dressed people, do this parties is a disrespectful act for the dead?

Lian Paz on the Cover of Playboy Philippines' Year-Ender Issue

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Lian Paz goes candid about being single, being a hopeless romantic, and her mad run to begin anew. Find out why a lot are mad about her in this smoldering Playboy Philippines year-ender issue."

An original EB Babe, mainstay of Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko, and ex-wife of Paolo Contis, Lian Paz now dates John Cabahug, a Cebuano basketball player and businessman. I guess most female celebrities who become separated from their husbands become more daring and adventurous enough to come out more aggressive in men's magazines.

She actually became worried when this cover failed to come out earlier since her sexy pictorials were meant for the November- December issue of the men's magazine.

Resolution Recognizing Andres Bonifacio as the First President of the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It's has been long overdue! Wag ng magpatumpik tumpik pa! Give credit to whom credit is due. It's about time. This has been long delayed.

However, this may lead to a lot of confusion because historians would need to rewrite so many history books, including textbooks from elementary up to college reference books. However, if there are verified historical documents and other evidences then history should and must be corrected. We do not know yet what would be the impact or effect to the Filipino society yet "Dapat lang talagang itama." Worrying about the possible costs it will require to correct our history is stupid.

The Philippine Photo Plagiarist Award of 2013 Goes to BGC

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"A friend of mine contacted me earlier and told me that he saw a picture of mine posted on the website of Bonifacio Global City. I wasn't aware of any people from BGC that asked me if they could use my photos on their site. I checked their site and surprised to see that my "Tatakbo Ka Ba?" picture was used without my knowledge whatsoever. It is really undeniable that this is my shot that they have taken from my Flickr page that I posted last August 30, 2009. http://www.flickr.com/photos/nrmercado/3870203779/ Dear BGC, you cannot hire a photographer? Really?" - Neall Mercado
Just helping share this disappointing act of the BGC official website of using a photo without any form of credit to the real owner.
Breaking news: 'pwede na kayong magshoot sa BGC basta ipagamit niyo lang ng walang bayad sa amin'-- BGC Mgt
Welcome to the Home of Passionate Minds that's soon to face a copyright infringement case! BGC, do you have a lawyer already? Why yes you do. But i guess you will just put it down from your site, right? You're better called the Home of Lazy and Unoriginal Minds.

39th Metro Manila Film Festival: Star-Studded But Too Commercialized?

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"What's clear is that the entire film was rushed through production. It's also pretty obvious that people were less concerned about telling a story than selling products. The film regularly stops everything for blatant product placement. Aiza Seguerra shills for Ariel detergent. Bimby Aquino eats a whole plate of Lucky Me Pancit Canton. Vic Sotto teaches us the difference between two kinds of Solmux available in the market. The story starts feeling like an afterthought, its emotional core lost in a wave of vulgar commercialism." - PULPOLitika
Do you agree?

When Vice Ganda was asked if he (or she) preferred a blockbuster hit or a multi-awarded film, the comedian answered "blockbuster".

Isn't it apparent?

No wonder that an action film that chronicles a senator's hours on the run nabbed 14 trophies including the Best Picture award at the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival. "Wala man sa amin ang salapi, na sa amin ang karangalan,"  says actor Robin Padilla.

Why Do We Drink Cow’s Milk: Breastfeeding for Babies

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Most formulas on the market today are manufactured from cow’s milk. Formula companies have produced milk for babies that seem to resemble the real thing. Formula is definitely better than it used to be, but what the factories make doesn't quite measure up to what mom makes. It is nearly impossible for artificial baby milk manufacturers to make milk with nutrients even close to what mothers' bodies can make.

The major concern is that even though formula-fed infants appear to grow normally, are they really thriving? Thriving means more than just getting bigger. It means developing to the child's fullest physical, emotional, and intellectual potential. We just don't know about all the long-term effects of tampering with Mother Nature – though we do know that there are significant health differences between formula-fed and breastfed infants. You may see Toodler.guide on which formula is ideal for your baby.

Human milk is a live substance containing live white blood cells and immune-fighting substances, and is a dynamic, changing nutritional source, which daily (sometimes hourly) adjusts to meet the individual needs of a growing baby. Formulas are nothing more than a collection of dead nutrients. They do not contain living white cells, digestive enzymes, or immune factors. Breast milk changes as the baby grows. Formula stays the same. Breast milk is specially formulated to meet the needs of a child as they change.

Singapore Airlines Surprises its Passengers with a Special Mini-Concert Treat

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Flash mobs are nothing new but the surprise and amazement that it brings to the crowd who are there to witness still remains an amazing sight. It's always pleasing to see people grouped together and setting a happy mood for others.

I was invited to experience a surprise mini-concert intended as a Christmas surprise gift to the passenger awaiting departure of Singapore Airlines (SIA) last December 23, 2013 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1. At approximately 4:00 in the afternoon, a special Christmas dance performance was presented to the passengers waiting for their flight.

The SIA staff came in from all directions and performed live in front of all the passengers who were all in awe  because of the surprise treat. From two voices singing a popular Christmas tune, then growing to a larger group all giving their best performances, both local and foreign passengers witnessed how the SIA staff danced and sang for several minutes all for the purpose of bringing smiles to their most important guests - their beloved passengers.

Shooting at NAIA : No CCTV, No Worry? OMG!

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"The former head of the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group is blaming Manila International Airport Authority general manager Jose Angel Honrado for the bloody shooting at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Terminal 3.
Napoleon Cuaton, who is now mayor of Saint Bernard, Southern Lyte, said Honrado should resign after the failed security measures at the airport cost the lives of four people.

The gunman who opened fire on Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur Mayor Ukol Talumpa at the arrival area last week went through an inspection, which Cuaton claimed lacked police presence.

"Inalis na ng GM ng airport ang responsibilities ng PNP-Aviation diyan sa checkpoint. In-allow lang niya ang private security na mag-man ng checkpoint,” said Cuaton."- ABS-CBN News Online
Napanood ko at narinig ang interview over the phone kay Jose Angel Honrado ni Noli de Castro sa TV Patrol. My goodness!!! Nakakahiya ang mga sagot niya. Hindi niya alam ang mga sinasabi nya at hindi siya handa sa mga sagot niya. Nangangapa ng sasabihin kay Kabayan.

Noel: An OFW Christmas Story

Wazzup Pilipinas!

There is this interesting short video now circulating on YouTube that was produced by SM Global Pinoy. It is based around an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW)  which experiences Christmas on his computer. It is an OFW Christmas story for the Facebook generation.

What is shown in the video is an OFW communicating with his friends and family through Facebook and Skype on a Christmas eve. The video is purely on a computer monitor and what the OFW does on his computer (browse, chat, etc..) we as the viewer see.

Its a very interesting and unique video which embraces what a lot of Filipinos whom are an OFW or have an OFW loved one experience on a Christmas day. We hope you would like it also and share it through your social networks and area of influence.

Choosing Veggies Over Meaties

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Choosing veggies over meaties is maybe the hardest decision in a person’s life. It started when we were younger, when we were threathened by our parents that we won’t receive any dessert if we don’t eat the remaining vegetables on our plate. The question is ’why do we have to eat veggies?’ and ‘why is vegetable preferrable than meat?’

First of all, it is a common knowledge that vegetables are the edible plant or part that are either eaten cooked or raw. We intake these veggies not just because our parents say so but also they give us nutrients so we can be healthy and less prone to illness.

Another is that vegetables are always available wherever you are and cheaper than the meat you buy from the store. Vegetables regulate your systems. For example, detoxifying your body and boosting your immunity. Vegetables provide more range of nutrients than from meat. Vegetables contains fibers that improves our metabolism.

That is what Entertainment mean in the dictionary. But what if we add the word Quality at the first what would that mean now.

Now may I ask you.

Famous Quotes of the Year 2013: May Hahabol Pa Ba?

Wazzup Pilipinas! They say we must be very careful with our words. Everything that we say, or whatever comes out from our mouths may reflect what is in our minds, and may haunt us for life.We can't get away with an excuse of temporary insanity unless we play the part of a fool. History will record and quote us, and we may face even a criminal offense because of it.

However, most of the time, people get away with it, or we just categorize it under the humor section and laugh it off like it was a terrible joke.

Not all of us are popular enough to have our words forever written and immortalized in the journals or history books but everyone hurt in the process will recall and judge us forever for what was spoken in the past.

MMFF Entry "Mga Anino ng Kahapon" Strikes a Nerve

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"In the world of schizophrenia where imagination and reality are hard to define, Ed and Irene are about to discover the true meaning of love."
Schizophrenia is a condition that is really difficult to manage. Unless the patient accepts and wills herself to be cured, it may become a lifetime problem not only for the patient but also for her family. Sacrifices has to be made plus patience and understanding are required to be able to cope with a critical situation such as this.

I attended the premiere night screening of Mga Anino ng Kahapon, an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2013 for the New Wave category. It was a story about how a certain individual and her family overcome the troubles and hardships that resulted due to the mental condition.

The movie stars Agot Isidro and TJ Trinidad as the lead actors, directed by Alvin Yapan, produced by Johnsons & Johnsons. The movie also stars Carlo Cruz, Upeng Galang Fernandez, Carl Alexander Acosta and Ku Aquino.

Kaleidoscope World: A Love Story Inspired by the Music of Francis Magalona

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Francis Magalona was phenomenal during his time, and until now where his music continues to live within our memories. His music has become a part of history - the better part of rap and hip hop music where everyone was moved to the beat and the awesome lyrics.
One of the highly celebrated song of the Master Rapper was Kaleiscope World, a song that deals with diversity and with encouraging everyone to unite. It was early this year that the song was revived into one of the most remarkable videos of the year. Francis Magalona and his son, Elmo Magalona, appeared in one video shot 18 years apart.

Kaleidoscope World is now also the Philippines' first Hip Hop dance film, a love story inspired by the music of Francis Magalona. Starring Sef Cadayona and Yassi Pressman. A film Produced & Directed by Eliza Cornejo.

Cosplays for the Teens: Expressing Your Hidden Identity

Wazzup Pilipinas!

People around the world have different styles of expressing what’s inside of them. It could be something common or something unusual depending upon the era they grew. Sometimes, their expressions might not be easy to understand because, our sets of mind are unique to each other.

There are people that are said to be incomplete in terms of his or her identity. That identity is pent deep inside of his or her core, where it really wants to burst but it is still undiscovered by the owner. Normally, this occurs during adolescence where they are now said to be in the right time of thinking. Well, I heard about cosplay.

Bragging Versus Branding: How to Get Noticed Without Being Branded Negatively

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We all know that we need to get the people's attention to promote a brand whether its a product, service, establishment, advocacy or our personal point of view. It rarely helps if you are too simple, and sometimes it may go overboard if its just way too self-serving.

It is very difficult to remain "wholesome" when the whole world is more attracted to the scandals that goes viral in the news.
"According to Google, the most searched Filipino celebrities in 2013 are: (1) Neri Naig (2) EB Babe Yosh (3) Wally Bayola (4) Ariella Arida and (5) Chito Miranda. I didn't know Ariella Arida had a sex video." - Professional Heckler
Now we know what the people really read. The timid and peace-loving issues do not inherit the Earth, its the scandalous, libelous, criminally-inclined,sensationalized, sexually-related news that goes viral online.

"Don't You Know Me" Junjun Binay Memes

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"BREAKING NEWS: Hindi daw po tunay na mga guards ang humarang kay Mayor Junjun Binay. Si Gandalf daw po ang humarang sa kanila at nagsabi ng "YOU SHALL NOT PASS""
Vice President Jejomar Binay's 2016 Presidential bid is now screwed big, thanks to his seemingly power tripping Makati Mayor son who was involved in an alleged forced entry to a certain gate of a Makati Subdivision of which he was heard to have said the demeaning words "Don't you know me?". He then called for some policemen to arrest

Whether he really said it or not, netizens began their usual bashing of the "popular" political figure and some of them even started creating memes to satisfy their hurtful creativity.  Pag sikat ka talaga, expect a lot of haters to come out and rant against you. Pag small-time ka lang, di ka papansinin.

It probably got exaggerated into epic proportions that the rumored statement become sounding more like:

"Don't you know me? I am the power-tripping Mayor of this f*cking city of Makati and the son of the famous Vice President of the Philippines. You have to let me in! I can buy you, your agency and this subdivision!"
Below are just some of the memes circulating around the net. Credit goes to all the owners of the photos.

Preservation and Maintenance of Our Heritage Sites

The demolished ancestral house of Teodora Alonzo - the mother of Dr. Jose Rizal

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Heritage sites include nature preserves, historic structures and places. The Philippines is rich in heritage sites due to its abundant natural resources and the rich cultural legacies we got from the early colonizers.

Natural resources such as mountains, lakes, underground rivers, forest and coral reefs are examples of nature preserves abundant in this country while, our Malay forefathers, the Chinese, Spaniards, Americans and the Japanese colonizers helped shaped our cultural heritage such as the Catholic churches, buildings, bridges, houses, monuments, landmarks, gardens and other edifices.

The question is whether the Philippine government is serious in supporting the preservation and maintenance of our heritage sites. I believe our government is half serious on this matter. Though, we have Republic Act #10086 known as the Lawphil Project as an example, the government still relays its preservation on the care of private and non-governmental organizations.

Foot Massage Lounge at The Forum BGC: A Place to Treat Your Body, Mind and Sole

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I expected only a foot massage but I got was surprisingly overwhelming! Their FML Signature Massage was spectacular. It was almost a complete relaxing treatment from head... to back... and toe.

What I got was plenty of foot pampering, plus something extra, to the extreme! The Foot Massage Lounge really made my feet very special that day because it was the very first time it felt really loved!!!

The elegant and vibrant Cat Ilacad, also the founder of Posh Nails, now brings you something different from the traditional foot massages we've grown accustomed to.

The Victorianesque black-and-gold palette elegant feel of the "lounge" was appealing to both sexes. Not too feminine like Posh Nails, and can be comfortably suiting for even the guys like me to appreciate a very relaxing and stress-releasing 75 minutes of your life.

Wazzup Pilipinas is Proud to Be Your Online Media Event Partner

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We are not even a year old since we started as a dot com just March of 2013.

Like a child, it is so young, prone to mistakes, a lot of grammatical errors, freaking bad photos, lousy graphics, and definitely needs a lot of improvement in layout and design....plus the much needed features to make it more interactive and content-wise.

I would like to thank those thousands of readers that has gave us inspiration to keep it up and alive. The readers are the most significant reasons why we strive to do our best even if others perceive our actions as aggressive, over-confident and opportunistic. This is how we roll. You either step aside or deal with the consequences when you cross our path.

It is with great humility that we claim no dominance over other blogs or online site. What we are truly proud of is our own cumulative efforts and achievements that we feel are worthy accomplishments that we should be very proud of.

Mocha Girls: UNO Magazine Releases a Special Issue

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Now who among the men here doesn't lose his self-control when faced with a hot and gorgeous lady?

I swear my knees will weaken and my nerves will shatter and break into itsy-bitsy pieces if you suddenly put me on the tight spot beside a lady that's oozing with sex appeal. I will melt like ice cream under the sun. I will wilt like rose petals cut from its stem, and I will shatter like glass that fell from a table top..... Or probably more like get flatten like pancakes after jumping from a skyscraper.

Now if there's more than one,...and they will all be happy to smile for me, then I guess I'm ready to die happy anytime from today. It will be like cloud nine!!! Oohh-la-la!!!

These were almost the same feelings I had when I met the Mocha Girls for the first time during the UNO magazine signing at the Off the Grill restaurant in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Miss Philippines Bea Rose Santiago is Miss International 2013

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"I want to give a merry Christmas to the Philippines. I want to close the pageant this year with a slam." - Bea Rose Santiago
Filipinas are the most beautiful women on Earth! Proof to that is another win by Bea Rose Santiago as Miss International 2013.

Her winning speech was powerful enough that everyone must have felt deep within the very nerves and hitting the bones hard.
"The whole world saw how our country has suffered. One by one, other countries helped. You have opened my heart and eyes on what we can do to help each other. If I win the crown, I will help promote camaraderie among countries. I will work to sustain the spirit of sympathy and the spirit of hope. As long as we work together, there is hope." - Bea Rose Santiago

Self-Righteousness Is an Alarming Disease

Wazzup Pilipinas!

One of the letdowns of social media is that we can now cowardly rant against anybody behind the safety of our homes or offices while typing away madly on our computer keyboards or smartphone/tablet keypads. What we fail to realize is that the rant is more likely a call for attention when we felt we were terribly wronged. It is our way to ask for sympathy from others. "Come on everyone, join in on the party. Let us all gang up and hurt somebody!"

What made us snap? We felt our ego was bruised so now we desire to take revenge. We feel we deserve some form of retribution. So what do we do? We rant non-stop until our so-called friends, and everyone else that's clueless within our area of influence, comforts us and share the hate we have against our enemies.

What is alarming? Since the others do not really know even a cinch of what transpired between us and the other party, they will fan the flames just to further heat up our anger and create a bigger fire. Instead of wishing for "world peace" just like our beauty pageant contestants, many will only add further hatred into the equation causing an even bigger chaos. And because we subjected the accused in an unfair and misplaced context to save our own shortcomings, we managed to convince others that we were maltreated.

Is this how we take care of our perceived rotten apples? Strike them down further instead of lifting them up and showing them how to correct the errors of their ways? Thank you very much for these wonderful questions.

Changing the Reel: Budding Director Gino M. Santos Ushers in a Generation of Film with New Flick “Island Dreams”

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The action behind the camera has become one of the most intriguing contemporary art forms in the country. Despite being the youngest of Philippine creative styles, film making has succeeded in immortalizing the rich culture and character of the Filipino people through the silver screen.

Even with the challenges that face the industry such as the growth of illegal camcording and movie piracy, filmmaking continues to captivate and engage many young talents. One such passionate artist is Gino M. Santos, who, at the age of 24, has made waves in the local film scene.

Gino is a two-time Gawad CCP honorable mention awardee with his experimental short “Bangungot” and his short movie musical "Ang Tangke" (The Water Tank), the latter of which vied in the 19th Contravision Film Festival in Berlin. With award-winning director Brillante Mendoza as his mentor, Gino continues to hone his craft with the best from the trade and raise the standards for local filmmaking.

Google Zeitgeist Reveals the Most Searched About Topics in the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We were given three chances to guess which we think was the most searched about in the Philippines, and most of us were wrong!

It was really surprising, and only reveals two probable facts. It's either a lot of people were really curious and concerned of the tragic lost, or many really love the person from the very start of 2013 until the end of the year when he met a very unfortunate accident.

Yes! Paul Walker was the most searched about term in Google Philippines!

I am not sure if this is comforting enough for him to know that many recognized him as influential for others, but the guy really made an impact to the Filipinos.

Volunteers from Scientology Churches and Missions help the Philippines recover from Typhoon Haiyan

Wazzup Pilipinas!

A month since Super Typhoon Haiyan ravaged the Philippines, the country is still staggering. The Church of Scientology Mission of Manila immediately activated their Volunteer Ministers to help. They were joined by Volunteer Ministers from abroad who have continued to provide relief to help the country recover.

The Typhoon, known as Yolanda in the Philippines, slammed into the country November 8 with sustained winds as high as 195 mph. More than 5,000 died and the United Nations estimates 1.9 people were forced from their homes. According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the storm disrupted the livelihoods of more than 5 million people leaving 2.4 million in need of food.

The Scientology Disaster Response Team, led by veteran Scientology Volunteer Minister Ayal Lindeman of New York and members of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers India Goodwill Tour, is working with government agencies and humanitarian organizations to help with the distribution of food and supplies.

Filipino YouTube Singers Unite For Typhoon Yolanda Survivors Relief

Wazzup Pilipinas!
Thirteen "YouTube singers" from across the globe dedicated their time and talents to this project, which is designed to help raise global awareness for the still ongoing need for aid and relief in the most hard hit areas in the Philippines.

Participants in this video include Zendee Tenerefe and Aldrich Talonding, both of whom famously appeared on the Ellen Show. A pair of American Idol 'veterans' are also in the mix in the form of Marvin Calderon Jr and Jett Hermano, while talented Filipino singers from as far away as Austria and Australia also took the time to record and send in footage of themselves singing different parts of 'The Prayer', which we then painstakingly edited together to form an utterly moving and compelling virtual choir that was only made possible through the advent of social media.

We are especially pleased to include the latest Filipino singer to have gone viral internationally - Joyce Jimenez, the sweet little blind girl from Davao who captured the hearts of netizens around the world with her soulful rendition of Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball.

It’s a great privilege to have a face to face encounter with these guys who just got off the Axe Apollo space camp.

Datuin, Santos and Roque were surrounded by camera flashes and back to back interviews from different broadcasting stations and print media representatives. Gino and one of the ultimate heart throb and idol of the mass; Ramon Baustista hosted the gala.

How To Really Travel the World

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This travel adventure we call life is what we make of it. No matter how dedicated we are, sometimes we will be tempted to change our plans and veer away from the proposed path to admire the view, touch the trees, taste the food, or take the most photos. Whatever the reason, we all deserve to decide how and when we will get to our destination.

It wouldn't also be realistic enough if it were all smooth sailing, if there were no potholes on the road, if there were no storm clouds to slow us down. Even a train gets derailed. Even a space shuttle has limitations to its reach. We will therefore sometimes get delayed, miss our ride, or worst....never reach our destination. It's a universal truth.

Just because we fumbled, slipped or tripped once, or twice, or thrice,...doesn't mean we're gonna suck at everything forever. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in ourselves, because if we don't, then who will?

Chino Roque: The First Filipino Astronaut

Wazzup Pilipinas!

AXE Apollo Space Academy (A.A.S.A) has finally selected the first Filipino astronaut to represent the Philippines in a flight to space. The legendary Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Chino Roque meet for the first time.

Last January, AXE, the no. 1 fragrance brand in the world, unveiled a campaign to take the first Filipino to space with over 20 others from over 160 countries worldwide to celebrate the launch of AXE Apollo, its newest and possibly most iconic fragrance yet.

The Philippines was among the top countries that participated in the global campaign with over 28,000 applications for the opportunity to become the first Filipino to ever go to space.

From thousands, three candidates were selected to represent the country at the international AXE Apollo Space Camp held at the Kennedy Space Center in the U.S. The three candidates underwent astronaut training with over 100 others from all over the globe. Finally, one has been chosen to take to space by 2015 as the first Filipino astronaut.

Top Ten New Firecrackers: Explosive Stinkers and Winners to Welcome 2014

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We can now say farewell to "Goodbye Gloria", "Pacquiao" and "Bin Laden" - among many other banned firecrackers.

They were last year's popular firecrackers. This year-ender's explosive new firecrackers are now names as "Goodbye Napoles" and "Yolanda".

Whoa! I'm just not so sure if Janette Napoles would leave a bigger bang than Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's namesake, but isn't the "Yolanda" a bit insensitive. I guess nobody would want to lit up something named after the typhoon that killed thousand of our countrymen from the Visayas.

Yeah...maybe it was so devastating enough to destroy many lives and properties, including the survivors' hopes and dreams, but I won't dare touch something that will just bring out strong emotions that may cause despair especially to the survivors of the calamity.

Don Mariano Bus Falls Off the Skyway and Kills More Than 20 Passengers

Don Mariano Transit bus wreckage that fell from the Skyway
Wazzup Pilipinas!

Praying for the families of those who died in the accident.

Don Mariano buses and its drivers are known as killer buses. Mabilis talaga sila magpatakbo. Dapat may drug test every month or quarterly ang lahat ng bus, truck at jeepney drivers.

The Martilyo Gang Strikes Again: PNoy and Mar to the Rescue

Wazzup Pilipinas!

So what will bring the President of the Philippines rushing to a crime scene?

No. I think the most asked question right now is: Was the jewelry heist more important than the Typhoon Yolanda calamity?
"Mas mahalaga ang mga nanakaw na jewelry kaysa sa mga biktima ng Tacloban. Ano ba kayo?"
"Dear PNOY it took you days to get to Tacloban after the deadly storm, pero ambilis sa scene of the crime nang may nangyari sa SM North... Paki ekplain..""I do understand that the crime happened near him, pero was his response really needed? It's sending a wrong message to the public."

"Kasi nga daw kaya siya mabagal sa Tacloban, MGA ROMUALDEZ ANG TACLOBAN AT AQUINO SIYA."

"Malaki daw tax na binabayaran ng SM. Or baka, may "royalties" ang SM for the Office of the President."

Alyz Henrich : Congratulations to Miss Earth 2013

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Congratulations again to the new Miss Earth 2013 Alyz Henrich @HenrichAlyz as she sends us her Holiday greetings. It's only a few days away until Christmas day and we sure are glad to be celebrating it with the new Ambassador for the welfare of the Earth.

There were many questions that were answered ubiquitously that caused my eyebrows to raise and left my mouth open wide in awe. I don't know if the contestants were just lost in the translation or their nerves were just too stressed out, but what really struck me was: "Aside from climate change, what is the biggest threat to Mother Earth?" Miss Thailand: "Human behavior affects the whole world." So True.

Mother Earth hates the stupid question : "A month after Yolanda struck the country, how do you think Mother Earth feels now?" Duh?!

Thew pageant was held last December 7 at Versailles Alabang in Las Pinas and started at around 8 pm.
