Chef Jessie's 100 Revolving Restaurant: Good Times with the Family

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The weekend is our bonding time with the family. We try our best to spend quality time by going out and having a wonderful weekend may it be at a mall, a theme park, a recreational facility, at a beach or pool, or at a party. Always within the day of leisure, we end up at a great restaurant to satisfy our thirst and hunger. It is our opportunity to sit together as a family and enjoy the great food served to us.

It is very rare that you get to enjoy great food as well as a great view - and all 360 degrees of the wonderful city from Eastwood of Quezon City at the 100 Revolving Restaurant of world famous Chef Jessie located at the 33rd floor of MDC 100 building.

Oh, wow!!! It was amazing! It was a delight for all the senses - the taste buds, the eyes, plus everything else, We were enormously happy. Thank you, Chef Jessie, for the opportunity to have a good time!

It was a blessed Saturday for us and wonderfully filled with so much fun and laughter as my finally and I were all excited to dine at a well talked about restaurant at Eastwood. I've been hearing a lot of praises about the restaurant, and it was fortunate of us to finally step foot in 100 Revolving.

I met Chef Jessie Sincioco during an event at her Chef Jessie Rockwell Club restaurant located in Amorsolo Square of Rockwell Center in Makati, and then another meeting at her other equally famous Top of the Citi restaurant at the 34th floor of the Citibank Tower, also in Makati.

I guess it was meant to be that I missed the previous invitation where I helped organize a bloggers event for her because this second invitation was now for me and my whole family - my wife and three kids were ecstatic!

Coming out of the elevator was phenomenal as we reached the 33rd floor of the MDC 100 building. Yes! That high! and when we got seated at our table, the amazement of seeing how our table moves in a circular motion was astonishing. We were not only seeing 360 degrees of the restaurant, including the kitchen, but also of the spectacular sight of our marvelous city.

Around 10 chefs were all busy preparing the dishes to be served that lunch hour. According to Chef Jessie, the total number of chefs on shifting schedule were around 20, but the total number of staff for that restaurant alone was around 45.

The restaurant is at the top most of the building yet many people all come here to enjoy not only the view but the sumptuous food that Chef Jessie personally concocted.

The highlight of the buffet were the Roast Tom Turkey, the U.S. Black Angus Rib-Eye Au Jus
, and the Roast Suckling Pig being carved and sliced right before our eyes.....and because it was a buffet, we get to go back again and again - until we were all full and satisfied.

Everything was all soft, juicy and tender to the bite and really very tasty within.

The entire family fell in line to try out all the dishes, and practically there was no left-overs at the end of the day. If we only had a bigger stomach to fill, we could have stayed all the way until the end of the day, or at least until 3 pm - the last hour of the lunch buffet.

Every slice of this beauty was perfection. From outside down to the inside within, it was all excellently flavored to penetrate even the insides of the turkey.

The Angus beef was equally amazing in taste. I never liked beef most of the time, but this one made me change my mind to come back for more servings.

Who wouldn't love the golden suckling pig. I didn't really care if I get a high-blood right there and then, but it was just too good to miss. Yes! I came back to have a second plate to share with the family!

The buffet offered a lot of superb choices whether you're the health buff, or the eat-all-you-can master. It's the first time I appreciated the entire menu, from the different kinds of veggie salads, to the assorted sushi, to the sweetest desserts, plus the refreshing smoothies we ordered as our drinks. Chef Jessie's 100 Revolving Restaurant really brought out an appetite from all of us.

Aside from the fulfilling complimentary soup and breads that were initially served to us while they prepared the buffet table, the various veggie salads were more than enough already to satisfy your craving for a great meal, but that's only the start of several more food choices made up of chicken, seafood, pork and beef.

The kamote fries were best served with the roasted turkey and creamed corn and spinach.

The creamed corn and spinach was very flavorful. I doubled-up on the intake of this special dish.

The Linguine Al Pesto with grilled vegetables was too good to be ignored.

The Paella Valenciana made my love for seafood even greater.

The Pan-Fried Chilea Sea Bass in Tomato-Heb Sauce was simply remarkable! I swore I would have kept coming back for more if I wasn't so full.

My diet was broken because the Grilled Assorted Seafood in Leek and Mushroom Sauce was irresistible. I must have hoarded on the huge shrimps. Even the other customers ahead of me took a longer time in front of this dish.

The Beef Roulade was so damn delicious!!! I don't care if I had too much of this. It was simply so tasty and pleasing to the bite.

The Roast Chicken in Garlic-Thyme Jus blew me away. I love chicken, and would always pick it first among several choices, bu this heavenly delight made chicken a lifetime favorite.

Seafood will always comes next to my list and this Baked Whole Norwegian Salmon in Salt Crust might just make seafood a little bit closer to my favorite.

The dessert choices were too alluring and tempting. My kids kept returning to the dessert table to grab more of these sweet delicacies. The Crepe Samurai, Coffee Jelly, Revolving Tortas, Sugar-Free Chocolate Decadence, Creme Caramel with Fresh Mangoes, French Chocolate Gateau, Assorted Macarons and Chef Jessie's Baked Cheesecake with Assorted Toppings were sent from heaven to please us.

My kids favorite was the Crepe Samurai. They consumed a lot of these desserts but the most was concentrated on this lovely masterpiece. It may not be as colorful as the rest of the desserts, but it truly captured the attention of my eldest boy.

The five of us decided to choose different smoothies for our drinks. Above is the Raspberry Mango. Sweet Philippine mango blended with sweet and sour raspberries, milk and ice.

The Choc-Banana-Peanut Butter - the ultimate protein sweet-tooth smoothie!

The Buko Pandan is a lighter smoothie for those watching their sugar intake.

The Strawberry Delight was my choice. I rarely select a strawberry drink but opted to try one this time.

The Torrones Smoothies is a classic take on the Philippine "turon" composed of caramelized bananas and jackfruit.

I was so inspired with our dining experience that I actually prepared an amateur video showing our splendid Saturday at  Chef Jessie's 100 Revolving restaurant. My family and I really had a good time at the restaurant that is why I chose to use the song "Good Time" performed by Owl City and Carla Rae Jepsen.

It is the only revolving restaurant in the Philippines. We are so proud to have experienced a wonderful treat thanks to its magnificent chef. Not only did we have an impressive and dramatic 360 degrees view of the city, we had a 100% lavish lunch. Just like the name of the restaurant, we were all 100 % fulfilled.

Incidentally, the restaurant also offers a promotional 50% discount for all Citibank card holders available every Saturday lunch until the end of January 2014. Now that's a great promo you should not miss and must be the restaurants generous Christmas gift to all its valued customers.

The actual cost was already all worth your hard-earned money, the discount is a big bonus.

The restaurant is at the 33rd floor of MDC 100 building located at C5 corner Eastwood Drive, Libis Quezon City. It opens at 11:00 am until 11:00 pm.
