Come! Let's Sing!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Do you like to watch singing contests? How about being in one?

In this article, I will talk about the singing contests that we’ve been in our senior year. Come and read it, then let me know what you think.

Topic no. 1:

The Voice of Boyle

Most of us like to sing. But not all of those that like to sing have the confidence to do what they like. And maybe that’s the cool thing about The Voice; because you can sing your hearts out without getting embarrassed since the judges wouldn’t know who sang the song unless they turn around. It’s such a great concept and applying this to a project is what I can say: Genius!

The rules were pretty simple: For every judge that turn for you, you’ll get a +5 on your grade.  If we will be able to get all the 5 teachers to turn their chair for us, we will get a +5 for our Periodical Exam. It seems hard, but looking at the bright side, it’s an easier project than regular Mathematics projects.  And it’s a group project making it a lot easier for us.

I was the one who made the lyrics for our song but our tone was derived from the songs: If I ain’t got you” and “Love on Top”. The lyrics are as follows:
After our performance, we felt mixed feelings about what happened.  Embarrassment – because of some of our mistakes, Regret – because we weren’t able to get all of the judges to turn for us, and Happiness – because we were able to get 4 judges to turn for us.

At the end, The Voice of Boyle was very successful, and it will be a memorable event for all of us.

Topic no. 2

Tara!
This was the title of our song on “another” contest about singing. The contest was for the celebration of the Filipino month. The lyrics was made by Gee Ann Barro while the tone was made by Alonzo Miranda. Some of the lyrics are as follows:

The contest is just like other contests because it has an elimination round and finals.  During the elimination, we were second place among our batch, and on the finals, we were on the fourth place. Even though we weren’t able to be on the top 3 during the finals, I am still happy because we were able to get to the finals and I had a lot of fun.

Contests like this can really bring out the singer in all of us. Come! let’s sing!
