Time really does fly. Entertainment Weekly is taking a look back at all the critical moments in Superman’s evolution - from Action Comics #1 to Man of Steel.

However, from the cover of the magazine, can you see someone missing?

Where's Brandon Routh?! "Superman Returns" might have sucked heaping loads of gobble-dee-gook, but he was a good Superman. Come on, ET! To omit Brandon is just wrong. Superman Returns was a great movie. It was an homage to both Christopher Reeve and Richard Donner's version. But some are saying Superman Returns was a God awful rip off of the original 78 Superman and not an homage.


I feel bad for Brandon Routh (Superman Returns). No recognition here for playing Superman. I mean they thought they should put TWO comic versions and an animated version of Superman on the cover instead of adding in Routh. It was not his fault they wrote a horrible Superman movie. He's a good actor really and made me bust up laughing in this movie.

OK, I admit Superman Returns wasn't a very good movie.....but leaving Brandon Routh out and showing Dean Cain instead is just stupid.
It is my belief that Brandon Routh didn't get the go ahead for the new Superman because he played a gay quarterback in "Zack & Miri Make A Porno"... I could be wrong, but he should be included because his Superman was spot on.
 Tom Welling played a great Superboy. But did Tom Welling wear the suit? When something bad happened  he only wore it once in the finale. Superman is Superman no matter what he is wearing, and Welling portrayed the character in the days before he was known as Superman. He did a good enough job to warrant 10 years of acting work.

Brandon routh is more of superman than him
 IMO Christopher Reeve gave the best portrayal of what Superman should be. Tom welling was excellent and to be honest Brandon Routh was fine, he was good. The film had lots of holes like lifting a Kryptonite island hehe. But everyone should watch Chris Reeve's version 1 & 2, when he loses his powers in 2 and gets beat up, it's so awesome!
