Juana C The Movie is Now Showing on June 5

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We invite you to watch Juana C. The Movie on June 5.

Movie Synopsis: – JUANA C. THE MOVIE

“Juana C. The Movie” follows the outrageously hilarious yet painfully realistic adventures of a young person who slowly awakens to her country’s ills and how these are perpetuated by greedy businessmen, corrupt politicians, and a complacent majority. Hers is a journey from apathy to awareness to action – a triple A transformation!

Juana is a happy-go-lucky member of an indigenous people living in the mountains of Northern Luzon. When the class valedictorian falls victim to toxic waste, Juana is forced to take her place as a scholar at the elite “Arrneowww de Manila University.” Besieged on one side by unabashed commercial tourism and by an expanding nickel mining plant on the other, Juana’s community pins its hopes on her to finish school, become a lawyer, and come back to save the community’s ancestral and As soon as Juana sets foot in Manila, however, it becomes clear that her village’s mission for her might be an uphill battle. Ashamed of her poverty and tribal origins, Juana immediately reinvents herself as a bar-hopping, salon-pampered colegiala in order to gain acceptance in her new world. Juana soon finds that the only way to sustain her lavish lifestyle is to find work, which she does – as a high-class, plus-size escort for a niche market of chubby chasers.

Her trade brings her to the doorstep of Philippine power, in the persons of rich and corrupt politicians. As Juana’s star rises in the escort industry, she stumbles upon a sinister plot that will threaten everything and everyone she loves. With the help of Yanni (her first love), Hiro (an activist who has a crush on Juana), and Marina (a news blogger who runs around following leads in 7-inch heels), Juana will use all of her fabulous 250 pounds to fight the good fight against corruption and apathy.

  2. The subject was discussed shortly but the article's length is already enough for the readers to know the important details of the movie overview.

Every sentence is not ended unless it describes a whole and new thought.

The organization of the paragraphs is simple yet understandable. From the introduction if the movie to the description of the the lead character and her adventures to the conclusion, every message is clear, making the whole article beautiful

  4. Viewing the trailer of Juana C., I think this will be a great movie.
It shows everything that was really happening to our country, it also serves as an eye-opener to all of us. Juana C. is very encouraging to watch because of it's theme.

And as for the article, it is well-done. Even if it's not that long, the article still explains what does it want to tell to us. It's clear, definite and plain.

The totality of it was great. Clap! Clap!

  5. Juana C is a must watch. This is a movie where we can have our realizations about our country's needs and problems. That our country is full of greedy businessman and corrupt government officials. Those greedy businessman who didn't care about the damage they've done to nature and those corrupt government officials who really don't care about the Filipinos paying their taxes.

Through this movie, we could be aware about what's happening to our country. This movie could awaken all the Filipinos who do care about their country, Philippines.

We should watch movies like this.

  6. By just reading this synopsis made by the author, i can say i understand the movie a little. I'm planning to watch it, it's an eye opening film that we Filipinos should watch. I'm a Juan C. fan in youtube and she shows everything that is really happening here in the Philippines and it's risky for the production theme because it's not a typical drama/romance/comedy type of film that is easy to sell.

For the article, the thoughts are explained thoroughly even if the article is really short.

    It's a must watch film :)))
