Boracay Island : The Best Beaches in the World

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Summer has always been everyone’s favorite part of the year. Two months of rest from stressful activities during the school year feels like paradise to students like me.

This year’s summer was a blast. My family and I visited Boracay for the 4th time. My daddy’s hometown is in Camaligan, Batan, Aklan so whenever we visit my grandfather, we can always go to Boracay if we want since it is near and we can afford the trip.

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located south of Manila and off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Out of all the islands in the world, I can say Boracay has the best beaches in the world.

Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak municipality of Malay, province of Aklan. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.

My two younger brothers and I have always looked forward to these visits because we really love the beach. But this time, I had a nagging feeling that I would not be as amazed and fascinated with Boracay as before because I had already been there many times. Oh, how wrong I was!

When our boat finally reached the shore, I felt captivated by the island’s beauty. I felt the same awe and wonder that I felt on my first visit. Boracay was even more beautiful than the last time I saw it. In fact, I found myself restraining the urge to roll around the white sand beach in the midst of the foreign and local tourists.

After settling into our hotel room, we immediately went to the beach for a swim. My dad hired a sailboat to drive us around and watch the sunset in the middle of the ocean. That sunset was the best thing I have ever seen. I wished I could live in that moment forever.

Anyway, after our sailing trip, my family played around the sand and my brothers took turns burying each other. I know it was childish but hell, it was fun.
