Boracay : Absorb the Heat and Feel the Ocean

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Summer came quick! We got our clothes pack and went on our way to an adventure! Almost all of the people anticipated summer - especially me.

There are two ways of spending summer - its either doing nothing and bore yourself or enjoy it to the fullest just like I did. I should be starting now so let me share my summer vacation.

It’s April 2013, everybody was packing, getting ready for the first ride on an airplane. Some of us are not cognizant what to do inside the airplane. Good thing there were flight attendants to assist and guide us. At first, I thought that riding an airplane will took so long just to know that we have already arrived at Kalibo in just a short time. After that, we rode on a bus for about 4 hours. Isn’t it a sleepy trip? Then we rode on a boat crossing the sea going to Boracay. The last ride was by a van that took us to the resort we rented. First day on Boracay, we got exhausted so we decided to take our dinner and slept.

The 2nd day was island hopping day. We went out early because we don’t want our skin to be toasted. On our journey, we saw the gargantuan rocks and the beauty of Boracay. We visited a white sand island and stay there for a while. We went island to island exploring many interesting things. The last part was staying at sea and saw the beauty of underwater fishes. Fishes in any forms were approaching us for food and the irritating part was the waves greatly pushing me away.

The 3rd day was a bit more interesting. We rushed out our cabin and start enjoying the beach. We start the day riding on a banana boat. It is a bumpy ride but we enjoy it. Next thing was the underwater helmet diving. 10 feet under the water would kill you but we enjoy it. The last thing we did was staying on the shore for a while and enjoying the sunsets.

We will not end our last day without buying several souvenirs, key chains, shirts, bracelet, etc. we flew out to Manila and say goodbye to Boracay. This vacation means a lot to me since it was my first time experience to ride on an airplane and experiencing Boracay. The thing was that I enjoyed not by myself but with my family. I can now say that this 2013 summer was the best summer I’ve ever had.

  1. This article makes me want to skip school and visit Boracay. I heard from other people that Boracay is not that majestic anymore compared to its condition a few years back. But after reading this article, I really didn't believed in the rumors anymore. This will help to promote our country and probably will encourage foreign people to visit Philippines.
