URBN Bar and Kitchen : Gastronomical Delights To Please The Senses

Wazzup Pilipinas !

My camera did not do any justice to both the food and the place.I was tempted in just using the photos located on their Facebook page but it really felt wrong. The actual Mac and Choreese (macaroni with chorizo and cheese) was far better looking than the photo above, and magically flavorful that you simply can't get enough of it. Anyway, I'm pushing through with using my own photos. Let's just say its photos with my own style of photography with a mystery.

URBN Bar and Kitchen was simply an awesome and classy party venue that also serves great contemporary comfort food that's a feast to both the eyes and the stomach. You can find lots of food choices like premium dry-aged steaks, rack of lamb, ribs and so many sinful dishes that's guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest eater.

URBN Bar and Kitchen, co-owned by Chef Benjo Tuason, is a classy restaurant, highly busy and often times crowded at night, is located at the Bonifacio Global Center in Tagig. This resto is sure to excite everyone looking for a place where they can mingle with the the elite crowd, dine on delectable cuisines, and party until the break of dawn.

I would have loved to take great photos of the place but my camera is not really that good in dim lighting. So please bear with me on the photos.

The dimmed lighting at the URBN Bar and Kitchen was ideal to its intention as a party venue and bar. Its a huge place with plenty of room to move around. Its decors are kind of cool and cozy, does not hurt the eyes and so really classy.

You can really feel it set a mood!

Most of us decided to order a different kind of drink so that we could take a photo of the drinks all lined up this way. Though we did not actually tried to taste each one of them, all of us agreed that the particular drink that we ordered was perfectly blended.

The complimentary Potato Chips served with Aioli and Pesto Dip served as an appetizer. We got to try these in two servings. The first bucket was served to us while we were waiting for the event. We got there two hours early because we were never informed of the official time for the bloggers event. We got there as early as 6 pm when the event was yet to start at 8 pm.

The chips were good as it is. Though it will taste differently but equally great  if you try them with pesto or aioli dips.

The assorted Crostinis composed of Smoked Salmon and Capers, Jamon Serrano and Gherkins and Tomato and Basil plus the Caramelized Onions and Bacon Tarlets with Pesto Cream Cheeze were a delight in every bite.

The crostinis topped with the various options were ideal for pica-pica. Each one gives out a unique flavorful taste that's agreeable to the taste buds.

The tartlets were crumbling as I bit on them and tasted the cheese and bacon bits. I could also taste the caramelized onions mixed with a taste of the pesto and cream cheese topping. I put it all in on my second bite, and felt it was more satisfying.

URBN's House Salad is a mixed Greens, Poached Pears, Candied Walnuts, Shaved Parmesan and Raspberry Vinaigrette. Whoah, I was surprised I was able to read it all from the menu without dropping my jaw in awe.

The salad truly made my night because of the choice ingredients. It was not very often that I get to taste a salad as sophisticated as this. The Raspberry Vinaigrette on top of the green veggies gave it a fruity taste that you will really love, while the Candied Walnuts gave it a sweet taste, but it was balanced by the Poached Pears and Parmesan,

The Spicy Shrimp Cocktail could very well be acclaimed as one of the most tasty cocktail selection you can serve to your guest. It doesn't sting as strong as other spicy delicacies but provides just the right spicy touch to keep you wanting for more.

I adored the Seared Scallops with Cauliflower Puree and Jamon. The scallops were plump, tender and succulent. It had just the right amount of salty taste enough to add flavor to the scallops. But the addition of the Cauliflower Puree and Jamon bits enhnaced the flavor to perfection.

The Crispy Skin Tasmanian Salmon with Caper Cream Sauce and Mashed Potatoes with Leeks, Carrots and Bacon were exceptionally good. Kudos to the chef for giving this dish the right combination of spice and flavor.

The Sticky BBQ Ribs wet rubbed with a sticky BBQ sauce served with Rice Pilaf and Chili Butter Sweet Corn Kernels was everyone's favorite and I believe the real highlight of the evening. Even my kid was asking for more of this fine and tender ribs that easily separates from the rib bones.

Too bad it was too dark in color for the camera to capture justifiably. Everything went well together as I tried a portion of the ribs with the rice and corn kernels.

Weel here comes one of my favorites that night, the Australian Rack of Lamb  composed of Herb and Horseradish Crust with  Roasted Pumpkin and Garlic Yogurt Sauce was heavenly! I wanted more of this excellent dish but all of my friends also wanted more than just one stick.

I was able to control myself when my friends keep saying "keep everything in moderation."

The Mini BlackBenny Angus Burgers made out of Brioche Buns, Mild Cheddar, Bacon Onion Jam and Aioli,  plus the Mini Curried Shrimp Burgers with Curry Mayo Coleslaw were both favorites of my kid who was also there to join us in the event. He particularly liked the cute and tasty miniature burgers with some potato fries on the side.

I also appreciated the thick yet tender Angus beef patties that i think were grilled. The bacon Cheddar Cheese, Bacon Onion Jam and Aioli was very complementary to the patty.

The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was undeniably a contender for the best dessert. So light and creamy and topped with a generous drizzle of sweet caramel. Again, the rock salt bits adds a hint of saltiness which enhances this flavorful sweet concoction.

The Chocolate Lava Cake is called Chocolate Love-Ah Cake  at URBN. The inclusion of some rock salt, gives a nice hint of salty flavor as you enjoy the warm chocolate cake base. The gooey chocolate stuffing and the subtle flavor of the vanilla ice cream made this everyone's favorite dessert. We also found nuts at the lower portion of the lava cake which added a crunch to the this sweet treat.

The classic Mango Souffle offered a light fruity mango base flavor combined with the sweetness of the  caramel syrup.

So from the miniature burgers, to the BBQ ribs, my kid and I enjoyed our dinner at the classiest bar and restaurant in BGC. Its really not just a party place but a great place to dine. Chef Benjo is truly a remarkable chef.

We originally met the guy at his Relik Tapas Bar and Lounge which was also located at BGC, and equally served great food like our favorite Cochinillo - roast suckling pig, and apparently he is doing the same great thing at URBN by offering great contemporary comfort food that will surely be well loved by its patrons.
