Let's Look At The HTC Desire X

The latest midrange handset offering from HTC seems like a doppelganger of the One X when it comes to the design. It looks like a mini-One X that was made from the same unibody polycarbonate except for its removable back plate.

Just like the One X and One S, the Desire X features HTC’s proprietary ImageChip, Beats audio, and Snapdragon S4 processor. The HTC Desire X will be available in selected markets across EMEA and Asia Pacific from September 2012.

“HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life,” said Jason Mackenzie, President, Global Sales and Marketing for HTC Corporation. “If you’re looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. It not only looks and sounds great, but also provides a super-fast, highly personal mobile experience at a great price.”

The overall specs of the Desire X are on the level of the HTC One V, which currently sells for around $299, so we would expect it to be sold for $299 or less.

Here are the specifications:

  • 1GHz Qualcomm Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 Processor
  • 768MB RAM
  • 4GB Internal Storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD Card
  • 4-inch WVGA Super LCD Display, 480×800 pixels
  • 5-megapixel Camera, Autofocus, LED Flash, HDR Capture, Continuous Shooting
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1,650mAh Battery
  • 25GB Free Dropbox Storage
  • Beats Audio Technology
